Hey everybody, been working on this for a while...
it's my first official post for my custom My Hero Academia setting known as Radiant Academia.
I've worked very hard on this so will let the story speak for me.
DISCLAIMER: if you don't know anything about My Hero Academia/Boku No Hero Academia none of this will really make sense you you. Read at your own peril.
Please enjoy, fav & comment (PLEASE, I really wanna know what you think about this one), and have a nice day ^,^

The era of the extraordinary (aka the era of Quirks) had brought many changes to the world. The job of "Hero" was one of the biggest… and with the job of hero came hundreds of connected changes. Schools to teach children how to use Quirks for the benefits of others and to be heroes being merely one of them. Among these many academies there were a few that stood out as exceptional… the Radiant Academia (R.A. for short)… wasn't one of these few.
Instead it was one of the best known and most talked about Hero schools in America thanks to it's extreme (whether that was a good or a bad extreme depended on who you asked) tendency to market itself. Everything it did, every single test or event it held, was turned into a TV worthy production (quite literally) and pumped out for the public to witness… and more importantly for the schools backers and donors to observe. The school's entire existence was built around marketing itself and its product (also known as it's students) to the public so they would donate and support the school… so when the students graduated they'd already be well known and have places/people interested in hiring them as heroes or sidekicks. That was important too.
The R.A.'s entrance exam was no exception. Each year they held a massive production. The public could come and watch the examinees try and win their way into the school's coveted hero course… and each year all the school's backers and numerous high profile heroes gathered in private viewing rooms (or turned on a special "Pay-Per-View" website) to watch the fresh meat test the mettle. The fact the tests tended to be a blatant rip off of the U.A.'s exam (with the danger ramped WAY up) was just something people tended not to mention in public… mostly due to how obvious it was.
"There're copying U.A. wholesale again this year, right down to the gimmick." someone muttered, the comfortable and shady viewing room full of pro-heroes murmured in agreement as the teacher on the viewing screen explained to a massive auditorium of students that there would be NO points awarded for defeating the gimmick. Unlike the other types of robots, worth 1, 2, and 3 points respectively, the gimmick was merely to be avoided. "Think any of them will figure out the point of it?" somebody else said aloud as they watched the barely organized procession of students being led out of the auditorium and divided up into groups to be taken to one of R.A.'s numerous stadiums. The murmurs from the rest of the group were doubtful… most of them just waiting for the real show to start and not really paying attention...

Which wasn't the case for a few of the sidekicks stationed at a the Mahou Shojou Hero Agency on the other side of town. They'd managed to sweet talk their employer into let them take a different patrol shift for the day just so they could watch the test. As such the colorfully (and scantily) dressed ladies were all clustered around the laptop set up in their break room, trying their best to see the screen. In particular two ladies were doing their best to monopolize the computer… which wasn't surprising since they were the ones who talked the boss into this. They did, after all, have a personal stake in the years exam.
"So Rose, which group did you baby bro end up in?" Weapon hero, Bishamon asked, shoulder to shoulder with her best friend as they eyed the video. "Hmmm… oh! Looks like he's in group B June!" AC Hero Rose Storm said, pointing to a tiny blot of color on the screen before scrolling down on the website "And look! They have a separate stream for the groups! Lets see… grooooup B~" there was the sound of a mouse click as the screen changed to show the stream for Group B's test.
"Huh, so they're gonna be in a cityscape arena?" Bishamon said, rubbing her chin thoughtfully "Might be trouble for Petie…" her tone was concerned as Rose Storm chuckled "My baby bro will be fine so don't you worry about him! He's gonna make a BIG impact on the exam!" she boasted energetically… before both ladies squeaked as another sidekick shoved her head between their shoulders to get a better view "Well glad you're confident he'll be okay~" she said in a teasing tone, Bishamon protested as the newcomer shoved her arm forward to point at the screen "But which one IS this mysterious Petie~? You and June went to school together, the rest of us haven't met him~" Rose Storm just chuckled at the question, gently moving the hand away so she could point at the screen herself.
"That's my precious, hero-in-the-making, baby brother right there~"
"……… er… you… I mean, begin serious here… you're SURE he's gonna be okay? This… this is a hero exam…"
"Like I said, he's gonna make a big impact~"

"… we got a few Cherub wannabes in this group it seems…"
"Still bitter he's more popular than you huh"
"Both of you shut it, they're about to start." someone hissed as the rest of the viewing room rumbled their agreement for silence. The massive screen in front of them divided up among the four groups, A through D. Most of the examinees were obviously anxious, jumpy, and on edge about what they were about to do. "Bet they trip all over each other the moment the starting gun goes off." someone finally spoke up as another hero had just enough time to scoff and mutter "Suckers bet. Principal Spotlight enjoys that sort of cliche." as the starting CANNON went off in a flash of light and LOTS of sound. It was hard to hear the "Begin!" that followed among the noise of the chaos of a couple hundred teenagers tripping over each other or smacking into each other as they jumped in surprise. There even looked to be a few who'd ended up firing off their Quirks they'd been so startled.
They had a clear view of the pile-up thanks to the cameras being worked into the arena from all conceivable angles. "Huh, he didn't manage to trip em all." Someone said, pointing to the screen as the shot changed to focus on the first few examinees to break away from the pack. On the Group B screen this was a average sized, slightly chubby teen with freckled cheeks. His blue hair wasn't too unusual this day and age… the multiple kendo sticks he had shoved in a container strapped to his back on the other hand was. "So that's Yoshi's grandson…" someone said as an air raid like siren came from all four of the screens "and here comes the robots." they added, stating the obvious as all four arenas rumbled as the combat robots roared onto the scene. One of the 1 pointer robots, fast but not heavily armored, zoomed towards the freckled teen. Rapidly closing the gap till it was a few feet from him… as he proceeded to vanish and reappear behind the machine. Literally. He was in front of it one moment then behind it the next.
And the robot was suddenly minus it's single wheel as the kid swung one of his kendo sticks down in a two handed sideways slash… and smashed cleaned through the machine. Confirming that those WEREN'T regular kendo sticks he was hauling around. The falling robot tried to pivot and swing at him, but he again wasn't there anymore. He was now on the robots right side as he brought his practice sword down on the robot once more smashing one of it's arms off. He was suddenly on the robots other side, thanks to what obviously had to be a teleporting Quirk, and smashed the other arm off it. Fully rending it helpless and destroyed. "Definitely Yoshi's grandson. Old bastard's probably dancing on his cane to finally have someone to follow in his footsteps." someone said aloud as the watched the kid turn and charge further into the cityscape.

"… lots o' rugrats in Group B."
"Yeah, think they'll do any good?"
"Naaaa, you saw that bear one run. Doubt any of 'em will pass."
In another of the heroes viewing rooms watching the exam was a slightly less formal affair… particularly since somebody had brought some bags of popcorn that were currently making their rounds among the group. "Maybe… think that one has some potential though." somebody pointed to the screen where there was a blur of light and a blur of shadow as one of the 3 point robots was reduced to scrap. The blur revealed themselves to be two… creatures that resembles anthropomorhic animals made out of energy. A blueish white one that looked like a feminine fox and a shadowy red one that looked like a big, muscular lion dog… thing. They were both standing next to a small, toddler like kid with a massive cowlick and a juvenile outfit, flanking him like some kind of bodyguards. The mauled remains of every robot that'd gotten near them showing they were doing more than just posing like bodyguards.
"What's he yelling? The audios not good enough."
"Somethin' bout wanting to do rescue work instead. Dunno what the problem is, he's doin' great! Trash some more robots ya kindergartner!"

"My group B is really stealing the spotlight for this exam, one impressive little hero wannabe after another… more emphasis on little than normal too~"
The speaker took a sip from the wine glass they were holding as several of RA's rich backers watched the screens. Particularly the screen for Group B as the stream jumped from camera to camera to show different shots of the action. "… wait, what's that?" one of the backers suddenly said, pointing to the video feed. Following the finger the others watched a small, puppy like girl kneeling next to another examinee who'd been knocked down by the robots. The silence hung in the air as the watched the puppy girl put her paws on the other teens swollen knee as two amazing things proceeded to happen. First? The swollen knee proceeded to unswell. It was still visibly hurt but it had healed to a degree. "A healing Quirk…" someone said, voicing what everybody else was thinking.
The second amazing thing though? It was when one of the 1 point robots took a swipe at the puppy girl and knocked her to the side. She was sent skidding across the cityscape arena's pavement… and proceeded to roll and hop to her feet somehow not only completely unharmed but with not so much as a SPECK of dirt on her. There was a moment of silence as the puppy ducked under the robots second swing and dashed off to earn more rescue points "… I don't know what I just saw-" one of the backers finally said "But I'm willing to bet it's marketable~" he finished as murmurs of agreement among the various corporate big wigs followed. After all… they were only there to see if there was some profit to be made and scouting out teens who failed to be a hero but could be useful in the corporate world was VERY profitable.
It was part of why they kept funding this school after all~

"… never thought I'd see THAT Quirk again…"
In a separate viewing room the teachers of RA sat watching the 4 large screens with rapt attention. All of them shadowed… save for the School Principal/Head of the School Board, one Star Hero Mr. Spotlight. The flashy (and tackily) dressed hero was producing his own light as he sat in the central seat, his elbows on the table and his hands clasped in front of him as his obvious frown kept his star shaped shades from hiding his expression. "That must be Cedric and Cassidy's son." the voice sounding slightly distorted and coming from an oddly shaped shadowed figure said "That his parents's Quirks clear as day." it added, sounding almost affectionate as they watched the screen for Group B… the flames projected on it dancing in the darkened room.
The source of the flames being the 6 foot tall werewolf on the screen who was wreathed in fire (and in fact seemed to be generating it) as he tore through the robots tooth and claw with savage abandon. Leaving an several shredded, and in some cases still burning, piles of parts in his wake. Baring his fangs he suddenly stopped and shuddered, his body appearing to start swelling up with his back puffing up and his muzzle elongating, a massive burst of flames surrounding him… which suddenly went out like a snuffed candle as the were wolf appeared to regress back to a kindergartner. Shrinking down till a dazed, wolf pup like boy, clad only in ripped, massively oversized shorts-and-suspenders with something white and puffy clearly visible underneath, stood where the werewolf had been a moment before. The kid wobbled drunkenly on his feet among the wreckage around him almost comically for a moment as there was a dumbstruck silence in the room.
"… and he has just as much trouble with his Quirk as his father did." Mr. Spotlight finally spat "… and is that a… diaper he's wearing?" the disgust obvious in his voice as they watched the wolf pup scurry into one of the nearby buildings to hide. "I-I'm sure there's a reason! Don't forget Principal, you legally HAVE to give him a fair chance to make it into the Academia!" the distorted voice from earlier quickly reminded the glowing man who merely responded with an annoyed "Tch…" before leaning back in his chair. "And you have to do the same for the other smaller-than-average examinees as well Mr. Principal." a deep female voice from the other side of the room suddenly chimed in "They deserve as fair a chance as any of your favorites." she continued as Mr. Spotlight responded to this fact in a mature manner befitting his important position in the school…
He groaned and thudded his head against the table, his massive hairstyle wobbling slightly as he did so.

"There must be something in the water around here with all these grade school looking teenagers…"
"You're giving them too much credit, they look fit for their first day of kindergarten and not a day more."
"True, but they seem to be doing quite well. And it isn't just Group B that has the stand outs, look." the third hero said, drawing the viewing rooms attention to the screen for group C as a small, dragon looking girl literally shoved a thundercloud, an actual tiny thundercloud, into a 2 point robot to a shocking effect that left it a smoking, sparking wreck. "Or there." the continued, pointing to Group A where an oddly misshapen teenager with a barrel chest and massive fists, along with some ill fitting aviator shades, punched the head off a 3 point robot with only a small amount of visible effort. "True-" another hero said, their tone calm, measured, and amused "But we've got another little scene stealer from Group B to keep our eyes on. And she has the sense to not be as flashy as the others either."
The screen for Group B was currently focused on another kindergarten looking kid. A glasses wearing little girl wearing a tiny workout uniform and carrying the remains of a metal bar she'd probably retrieved from the currently wrecked cityscape or one of the wrecked robots. Two 1 point robots charged her as she stood there for a long moment… before suddenly springing forward and jamming her metal bar right into one of the robots wheels at the perfect angle to send it speeding RIGHT into the second one, smashing both of them in one go as the girl used her momentum to skid across the pavement. Somehow managing to perfectly line it up so she could grab another hunk of metal from a wrecked robot as she skidded to a halt next to it and be ready for any other robots that might rush her.
"I saw here earlier when the exam started." the hero who'd pointed the girl out said "She was just focused on dodging the robots then, managing to barely avoid them at the very last second. Now she's moved to completely wrecking any robots that change her by targeting openings or weak points-" just to emphasize the point the girl slid under a 2 point robot, the machine's insect like build just barely gave her the clearance to do so, as it ended up smacking itself with it's scorpion like tail in an attempt to get at her "they have. It's obvious she has some kind of observation Quirk and spent the first part of the match learning all she could about them just for this." the hero finished, sounding dutifully impressed by the display they were seeing. The rest of the heroes murmured in agreement as a few of them wondered aloud what the exact details of the girl's Quirk might be… at least till somebody else spoke up.
"Don't think it'll do her much good…" they said, sounding slightly disappointed "They're still releasing robots. We've still got a few minutes to go before the test is done… the kids are gonna be over-run at this rate no matter how skilled they are."

"Dern it, this is turnin' into a regular robot rumble."
"Guess Group B wasn't all they seemed… they're being forced back just by the robots sheer numbers."
"Where'd dat kindergartner who was thrashin' them early go?"
"Up. One of his guards grabbed him and booked it up the side of building when he started looking like he was going to pass out."
"… that really a smart place to be with what's comin'?"
"No, no it's not."
****************
"Ha! Look! There he goes! Running away! Right up the building to the danger zone! He's gonna regret that!"
"Yes, yes, we can see him running away Principal Spotlight. Turn it down a notch, you're glowing too bright."
"So much for the new bearer of that Quirk! Haha! Now it is time!"
"… you're not listening to a word we're saying, are you?"
"Take the stage my beeeee-U-tiful Gimmick! Wipe away the bit-part-players and let the real stars shine through! It's SHOWTIME!!!"
"Ugh, he's lost it. Let security know to be on guard if this goes too far… again."
****************
"No offense Rose… but your baby bro is a no show. He's got zero points AND the Gimmick is about to come into play. Is it REALLY safe for him to be hiding in a building at this point?"
"Don't count him out yet. Petie knows more about being a hero than you'd think… all he has to do is take a few deep breaths and then show the world what he can do~"
"… how is a calming technique supposed to help at this point?"

While all 4 stages were robot hells at this point Group B in the cityscape arena had it worst. While the robots were made to be weak and mostly harmless the sheer VOLUME of them was overwhelming. In the narrow streets and alleyways of the fake city the 1 point robots on their wheels and 3 point robots on their tank treads dominated the ground while the insect like 2 point robots cracked glass and concrete as they climbed along the walls. Even the examinees who'd been smashing the robots with no problem were forced back by the sheer numbers. By the time they landed a blow on one robot three more had completely surrounded them and more were still coming. All the teens were being herded back toward the main street and forced towards the start gate with some of them in full on retreat. The few who'd gotten clever (or suicidal) and tried to scale the building to roof hop to a better position had found themselves quickly set upon by the 2 pointers. The "Villains" were winning due to sheer superior numbers…
"They're herding us! They're aren't supposed to be smart enough to do stuff like that!" one of the fleeing teens yelled, the small girl from earlier ducking, dodging, and weaving attacks as she skidded past him and shouted "They aren't! They're programed to hunt down and attack the first target they find! There's so many of them they're grouping us together thanks to being so single minded! Ack!" she squeaked, offense completely forgotten in favor of not getting hit as she fled further back. Suddenly a mechanical crackle filled the air as what had to be a massive PA system blared to life. "ATTENTION EXAMINEES! THE GIMMICK WILL NOW BE RELEASED!" it roared, momentarily drowning out the rumbled of machines echoing across the arena.
"Great! We gotta fight that thing too!?"
"Idiot! It's not worth any points! We're just supposed to avoid it!"
"Yeah! It's just an obstacle! How bad could it-"
SEVERAL examinees promptly paused mid retreat to scream "DON'T SAY THAT!" at the idiot about to invoke one of the oldest story cliches known to man… but they didn't get the chance. The idiot didn't get the chance to finish his sentence either. Any attempt to speaks died in all their throats as a several story tall, heavily armored robot proceeded to SMASH it's way through two buildings at once like some deranged fruit punch mascot. Despite being over two blocks away from the mass of examinees, with a small army of robots between them and it, it might as well be a giant movie monster come to life as it rotated on its massive tank treads to face them. The pseudo head, complete with 5 cameras to serve as eyes, lifted and seemed to stare right at the teens as it regarded it's prey. Slowly it raised it's arms, a sense of gravitas in it's movements like the cutscene for a video game final boss… as it proceeded to smash one arm into a building with a single swiping motion. Sending it crumbling down with a sound that merged with the mechanical grind of its tank treads to create a terrifying roar.
The other robots proceeded to rush forward at the examinees with the Gimmick bringing up the rear as the teens proceed to scream, turn around and run like hell itself was behind them, or a combination of both…
The world seemed to go silent and the monster movie turned into some kind of bizarre art film.

Able to see the strike from a higher angle the people watching in the viewing rooms and online had been the first to realize "There was a kid in there!" as they saw the small, bear like boy being sent flying out of the building the Gimmick had just struck. The examinees on the ground didn't realize someone was there till seconds afterwards when they hear the sound of clothing ripping and something like a ballon being inflated… but much, much, MUCH bigger. With what happened next it didn't matter where you were watching Group B, everybody saw it. You'd have to be completely blind not to see the giant baby bear dressed in the shreds of a badly ripped diaper swell into view and block out the sun like some kind of parade balloon.
Almost everybody had seem Gigantism Quirks to some extent whether it was just getting bigger or turning into a giant monster of some kind… and while this wasn't too different than those it managed to eclipse most of them on sheer scale. His shadow completely covered the Gimmick and the other robots in front of it (and stretched further down to darken at least another block)… as his chubby limbs smashed into the buildings on either side of the main street, the space not being big enough to hold him, completely crushing most of the 2 point robots crawling along them like bugs. Further adding to the sound of crumbling buildings the Gimmick had kicked off. For a moment he just seemed to… hover there, making the parade balloon comparison even more accurate, as if building up the dramatic tension. But that only lasted for a moment as gravity reasserted itself and brought baby bear down with the force of a bomb.
The screams of the other examinees, just on the edge of the impact, being sent flying by its force was drowned out by the sound of the pavement buckling and cracking underneath the biggest baby along with the crunch of a LOT of metal being crushed like so many empty soda cans. Every robot clustered in the main street, Gimmick included, being destroyed with one massive belly flop. All in the span of SECONDS.

"What the-! What the-! What the-! What the-! What the-!"
Mr. Spotlight was stuck on a loop of shock, his light flickering in-and out with every word, but the teachers had more important issues to deal with so they ignored him. "That… was that… intentional?" the distorted voice from earlier said, his equally distorted shadow leaned forward. "No. Couldn't be. He couldn't have planned that." a male voice said, shaking his head but sounding suitably awed by the display. "So how do we score it?" A fairly masculine female voice said, cracking her neck as she spoke "He might have beaten the Gimmick and fuck knows how many other bots, but it was an accident." her tone was a mix of annoyed and dismissive. "Maybe… but look." the deep female voice from earlier spoke, pointing everyones attention back to the screen.
It wasn't a flattering sight… a massive, nearly naked, red faced baby struggling to get up off his belly while holding his breath (every teacher watching immediately latched onto that, it had to tie into his Quirk). But there was two things worth noticing… the first was that he was completely unhurt despite the sheer amount of damage he'd done to…. just about everything. And the second was the bug eyed look of fright that crossed his face when he saw the other examinees he'd accidentally sent flying when he'd shattered the pavement. Followed by him scrambling forward and catching them out of the air with his chubby arms before the school's security could rush in for the rescue. Visibly struggling to move his massive bulk he set the ones he'd grabbed down where the sturdier examinees had managed to keep from being blown away… no worse for the wear save for being absolutely confused by what the hell was happening, going by their expressions anyway.
"Well I don't know if any of you still question if he has the makings of a hero… but he has my vote." the deep female voice said, her tone saturated with pride. "Oh like THAT'S any surprise." the other lady from before spoke up, cracking her neck again "Still… one hell of a Quirk." she added, her tone now more amused that anything. The scene continued to play out as the massive baby boy rose to his knees, body wobbling with every motion, and looked around… his cheeks puffing out even more while his chest heaved as he visibly struggled to breath through his nose. He looked like he was about to faint, pop, or explode… as Group B's camera suddenly changed view to show the top of the buildings. "NEVER CUT AWAY FROM THE ACTION!!!" Mr. Spotlight SHRIEKED at the top of his lungs, finally snapping out of his loop, as he paused to realize what the screen was showing. The room went silent as the teachers took in what they were seeing… only for all of them to GASP in shock when Mr. Spotlight took his star shaped sunglasses off "Get the security there… get the security there NOW." he said, tone as solemn as a show canceled mid-season.

"… big impact… deep breathing… your baby bro has some kinda balloon Quirk and you've been making in-jokes this whole time, haven't you Rose?" one of the other sidekicks crowding the laptop said, her tone flat as a board. Which was the signal for Bishamon to double over laughing. "Y-you-hahahaha- have NO idea-hahaahaha-how hard it was-" she wheezed in-between laughing "N-not to give i-it away! Haahahahaha!" Meanwhile as her best friend howled with laughter at their little in-joke being revealed Rose Storm just beamed with pride as she watched her baby bro not only propel himself right up near the top of the charts on villain points (the Gimmick might not have been worth much but he'd crushed a LOT of other ones) but earn a good chunk of rescue points saving the other examinees from a painful landing. "Knew you had it in you Petie~ Kept telling you you could be a heroHEY!" she suddenly protested as the screen changed "I was watching my baby bros moment of glory! I wa… oh, oh no…"
The screen showed the tops of the buildings lining the street Petie had made his big impression on. The tops of the building were swarming with 2 point robots like somebody had kicked over an ant nest… with the little kid with the bodyguard Quirk in the middle of it all either unconscious or unable to move as he just laid there while the robots closed in. His two spirit partners were apparently dependent on him being conscious since they'd shrunk to the size of squeaky toys and were desperately trying to wake him before the robots attacked. The room had gone silent as the ladies held their breath waiting, HOPING security would jump in at any moment… as an uncontrolled burst of fire let them know somebody else had gotten there first.
The wolf puppy boy from earlier tore onto the scene, swelling back up into the more impressive werewolf form, completely wreathed in flames for good measure, as he jumped from roof to roof, tearing through robots as he went. He was heading straight for the robots swarmed roof and the helpless examinee. As he moved he started to transform again. His back swelled up. His arms stretched out. His hands transformed into massive paws with equally massive claws. His muzzle elongated into a more feral form, his teeth shifting stretching his mouth into a fanged snarl. He was transforming into some kind of giant wolf monster… a giant flaming wolf monster since every inch of his fur now had red and orange flames dancing across it. More fire shooting out of his mouth with every breath as the robots between him and the prone boy parted as easily as a knife through butter…
"I-is it safe for him to try and save the kid like that…?" one of the ladies asked, watching the transformation progress further, the giant wolf just getting bigger and bigger… till he just suddenly ground to a halt. He'd finally gotten to where he could see the kid and found someone ELSE diving for him. It was the puppy girl from earlier with the healing Quirk, hopping along the tops of the robots with an almost reckless abandon and heading right for the fallen kid. The wolf's claws dug into the roof of the building, trying to drag himself to a halt, as the flames snuffed out on the spot and he deflated all the way back into the kindergartner like form. Unfortunately this didn't stop his momentum and without the claws to try and drag himself to a stop he skidded across the roof to crash right into the puppy girl. Smacking into her seconds before she could get her paws on the prone boy and sending all three of them tumbling (as the boys two spirits were outright sent flying).
Unfortunately the robots weren't programed to be able to appreciate the daring rescue turned Laurel & Hardy sketch. They were on them in moments and gave their out of control tumble the helpful little nudge it needed… to send all three of the examinees right off the side of the roof. All of the ladies watching responded in a similar manner to this, yelling at the screen in a panicked tone anything from expletives to pleas for somebody to help. The only distinct voice in all this was Rose Storm, bellowing at the top of her lungs "CATCH THEM PETIE!!" loud enough to rattle the window fixtures. It also produce absolutely stunned reaction from the entire group, Rose included, when her baby brother actually DID catch them.
****************
"Where the hell is security that they're letting a student do their jobs? Why are they letting a GIANT BABY do this job for them!?" Mr. Spotlight hissed, his glow accented by a dangerous sounding low hum that had everyone in the room discreetly backing away. Someone on the other side of the room finally put down the radio they'd been using "They're coming as fast as they can, they got held up is all." they said, before quickly continuing when Mr. Spotlight turned a blinding glare their way "S-s-some examines ended up near the robot release point and got dogpiled! It took all of them to pull them out in time! They're heading there now!" they babbled as fast as they could making the humming sound finally die down along with the glow as Mr. Spotlight just slumped back into his seat, put his head in his hands, and groooooaned.
"Told you we were using too many robots." another teacher said flatly getting another groan from the principal.
****************
"That's my baby bro!!" Rose Storm cheered, nearly knocking two of the other girls down as she pumped her fists in the air. She'd just watched the camera pan down, following the trio's as they fell… only for Petie, still inflated up to stay puff size, to enter the shot and catch his fellow examinees before they splattered on the ground. The trio bouncing slightly in his massive, chubby paws. "I knew you could do it!!!" she continued to cheer, the other ladies having wisely given her space by this point with how pumped up she was. "Rose? Rose?" Bishamon said, trying to get her best friends attention "ROSE!" she finally yelled, snapping the girl out of her celebration. "Does Petie normally get this big with his Quirk?" Bishamon asked, finally having the girls attention as she pointed to the screen for Rose to see "Cause he… he doesn't look good."
Everyone clustered around the screen to see what she meant, Rose Storm taking up the most room as she nearly put her face against the screen. A face that paled as she noticed how unsteadily Petie's bulk was wobbling as he struggled to try and place the trio on the ground with out falling over. His eyes were bulging out and looking slightly dazed as if he was struggling to stay conscious. Worst were his cheeks which were bulged out further and turning a purplish color that wasn't healthy on anybody as Rose had enough awareness to notice he wasn't breathing properly through his nose… or maybe… he couldn't breath through his nose? "N-no… never this big…" Rose Storm managed to choke out, internally begging Petie to open his mouth and just deflate like he always did. He'd step the three examinees he'd saved down so he just needed to deflate like always. He just needed-
Even through the laptop's small speakers the noise was painful. It wasn't quite like the high pitched squeal of air coming out of a balloon and it wasn't quiet like the low gasp of someone getting the wind knocked out of them (maybe at the expense of a few ribs) but it was somewhere in the middle. Only with a heavy dose of both volume (due to the size) and sheer pain added to it, making everyone hearing it wince. The giant baby bear who took up so much space that the main road of the cityscape could barely hold him without him smacking into the buildings lining its side… bent, wobbled, and deflated in a manner that, even for a Quirk, looked unnatural. It happened so fast it was hard to tell exact details but one moment the giant baby was standing there, smaller examinees at his feet… and the next everyone was hugging the ground and struggling not to be blown back by the hurricane force winds, which sent the few robots trying to regroup scattering like toys, and the baby was nowhere to be seen as the noise stopped and things were deathly quiet save for the wind.
"W-where's Petie?" Rose Storm's words were as deathly quiet as the wind as she had the sides of the laptop in a death grip with both hands. Meanwhile every sidekick in the room, save for Bishamon, was backing away from her as fast as they could. Swirls of sparkles were starting to whip around the girl, blowing her long hair wildly and warning all of the others that she was emotionally distraught enough her Quirk was kicking up. "Rose? Rose, calm down." Bishamon said, her friendship with Rose and her Quirk's durability keeping her from retreating like the other girls as she rubbed Rose Storm's shoulder and tried to calm her "They have security at these tests. They aren't going to let him get hurt. You need to calm it down and get your Quirk under control. Okay? Just-"
"THERE HE IS!"
Somebody on the other side of the room yelled and pointed at the screen as Rose Storm's face snapped forward to try and see. The wind whipping around her starting to distort the air a little, a pretty big sign she wasn't calming down, as Bishamon yanked her now steaming hands back with an annoyed cuss and lightly shook them. The few ladies not hiding on the other side of the room alternated trying to move anything overly flammable away from Rose Storm and making sure Bishamon wasn't hurt. At least they were till they heard Rose Storm utter "… is this what your Quirk does if you overuse it?" in a deathly quiet voice, only audible due to the wind suddenly and completely dying. There was a brief moment of pause as they registered what Rose Storm's Quirk suddenly just…. shutting off… had to mean…
Followed by every single one of them crowding her and the laptop, trying to get a view of what horrors it had to be showing.

The site for Group B's exam itself was still in utter confusion despite the sudden stillness as the stunned teenagers stared blankly, still trying to come to grips with what had just happened. The few up and moving were busy either trying to escape before more robots showed up, rescue the fallen, or regain their bearings and footing. In the case of one small group of teens it was a mix of these as the two groups that had been rescued by the giant baby milled around in confusion.
The wolf toddler currently knelt by the side of the passed out boy with the guardian creatures, who hadn't managed to land in the giant babies paw and were pulling themselves up from being cartoonishly flattened, and wasn't paying attention to anything else. The puppy girl with the healing powers was running around in a panic, her vision going from the unconscious boy to where the giant baby had been, to swinging wildly around her as she obvious had no clue what was going on or where to go next. The small group that had been saved from falling thanks to Petie's initial impact was only slightly more composed than the others. Despite the various yells, calls, and cries from all the examinees there seemed to be an almost quiet stillness over the exam…
That was shattered as a girl with long, pale hair let out a piercing scream, making some of the nearby teens duck and cover as if expecting another attack, and pointed to the air. She was pointing at the extremely small shape falling from the sky… which hurtled toward the ground in the time it took them to look up and see it. There was no chance for anyone to react… which made what happened next all the more stunning as the little girl with glasses who'd been so deftly dodging the robots before shot forward in a blur and snatched the tiny object clean out of the air before impact with a sliding catch. Skidding to a halt and ending up on her bottom in the process. There was a second long pause as the rest of the examinees mentally caught up with what happened… which abruptly ended as the girl let out a short scream of shock.
The wolf boy from before snapped his head up at this but didn't move from the unconscious boys side… the puppy girl on the other hand stopped spinning in place out of panic and SHOT to the girls side in an instant. Letting out a surprisingly boyish scream to go with her shriek as she saw what the glasses girl was holding. It was the giant baby bear from before… but he wasn't so much a giant anymore… maybe not even old enough to be really called a baby either. The tiny, red faced newborn clothed only in the scraps of a shredded diapers squirmed in the girls arms. His face screwed up in obvious pain and his chest spasming as he kept making the most agonizingly pitiful little squeak noises with each spasm. Somehow his own Quirk had reduced him to this… though neither of the two had time to spare on trying to puzzle out the how or whys of such a nasty backlash. They had other more important issues to deal with.
"W-what's going on? What's wrong with him? Is he critical? Tell me! Is he critical!" the glasses girl squeaked at the puppy, talking at a lightning fast clip as she held the infant out to the canine-human. "H-HE CAN'T BREATH! I DUN KNU" the puppy girl squealed in reply, her voice finally hitting a high pitch as she sounded near hysterical and on the cusp of sobbing. "Y-you were using some sort of healing, why do't you heal him too?" the girl shot back, visibly struggling to keep her calm and composure as she again gently thrust the squeaking infant to the other small teen. The puppy girl just flailed her arms pitifully, open sobbing now, and wailed "I C-CAN'T! I-IT DOESN'T WORK LIKE DAT!"
"What do you mean that's not how your Quirk works!?" the girl shrieked, composure lost at the puppy girl going full hysterical on her "What does it do then!?" The puppy winced, ears flattening against her head, but seemed to regain a little sense from being yelled at "I-I h-have to touch where he's hurt to heal him!" she babbled, now flailing her arms and point to her paw pads as if trying to illustrate "I dunno what's keeping him from breathing! I DUNNO WHAT TO HEAL!" she bawled, once again hysterical. Luckily the glasses wearing girl seemed to have regained her focus and composure, almost unnaturally quickly actually, as she snapped her head up "We don't have time to waste, give him mouth to mouth or something!" she said in a commanding tone, getting a confused look from the teary eyed puppy "Don't look at me like that! Just give him a kiss like you would to the boy of your dreams blow air into his mouth to give him a breath rhythm!" she shouted, speaking faster and more urgently with every syllable.
"I-I'mma boy!" the puppy squeak in response through HIS tears… as he gently took the infant out of the glasses girls hands and did as she asked. Gentle blowing air into his small lips to try and get his breath steady. The girl on the other hand took a few seconds to actually pause and blink before squealing "You're a boy!?" in absolute shock, her commanding presence from earlier gone. The crash of metal on broken pavement silenced her before she could say more. Both their eyes, the puppy boy still in the middle of mouth-to-mouth, darted up in fear to confirm that yes, while they'd been distracted the robots had come back. They were less than ten feet away and had come back in force. The puppy boy nearly choked mid-breath as he hugged the tiny bear to him and scrambled backwards on his butt. Meanwhile the glasses girl seemed to focus for a moment, her eyes narrowing into a glare… before they gained a far off look in them that was a million miles away as she sat there unmoving. Neither of them having any chance of escaping in time.
The robots moved forward as one crushing mechanical wave as a small form suddenly shot past the two. The wolf boy thrust himself forward, having left the unconscious boys side, trailing a small flicker of flame as he went to try and place himself between the attackers and their closest victims. Planting himself in front of the robots he threw his arms out, small trails of flame on his pointed ears and tail as he did so. A symbolic "You have to go through me first!" gesture… but it looked like that was the most he could manage as his whole body shook from either pain or stress. The robots paid it no heed as they continued unhindered, about to smash into the boy and most likely roll over him to repeat the same with the two he was trying to protect.
But in the few seconds it'd taken for him to throw himself forward something else came hurtling towards the robots with a great deal more force. That something being a glowing woman dressed in a casual and fairly skin revealing superheroes outfit with an obvious sun motif to it. She crashed into the lead robot feet first, it crumbling beneath her like an empty soda can, before snapping her head up "What the HELL is going on here!?" the woman snarled. Her massive red and gold ponytail trailing light as she whipped her head around trying to survey the situation. "I KNEW that idiot was using too many robots for this test!" she added, her glow flaring up as she snapped a leg out and kicked one robot into several others. The stunned examinees watching since they'd forgotten, thanks to all the madness in a matter of minutes, that there WAS supervision to this test.
******************
"Must… resist… urge… to fire… Samantha…"
"Principal, you can't fire a member of security for calling you an idiot… especially when they have video evidence to support their argument in court."
"I KNOW that!" Mr. Spotlight yelled, tugging at his multi-pointed afro in frustration… before desperately tugging it back into place and trying to act like nothing happened "A-anyway-" he coughed as a loud buzzer sounded from all 4 screens alongside every still active robot slumping in place "that signals the end of the test. Send the medics out to survey the damage and cut off any lawsuits-" he paused, feeling the glare of the other teachers "I mean heal any examinees that need it." he quickly corrected. "In the meantime… we've got to figure out how to grade this mess…" he finished, slumping back into his seat with a groan. The room was silent for a moment before somebody spoke what was on all of their minds.
"You're disappointed all the media is going to remember from this exam is "Giant Baby", aren't you?"
"YES!!"
To be Continued…?
it's my first official post for my custom My Hero Academia setting known as Radiant Academia.
I've worked very hard on this so will let the story speak for me.
DISCLAIMER: if you don't know anything about My Hero Academia/Boku No Hero Academia none of this will really make sense you you. Read at your own peril.

Characters... owned by me and a few friends who have helped me on this. Namely
Tacky and
Ozzie-boxer, thank you for letting me rope you into this nonsense ^,^Radiant Academia - Entrance ExamThe era of the extraordinary (aka the era of Quirks) had brought many changes to the world.

*******************

****************
It was part of why they kept funding this school after all~
****************
****************
****************
****************
****************

"YES!!"
