Neither one us has a layout as of yet. I'm hoping to do a small shelf switching layout due to limited space, and getting back into the hobby after 20 some odd years. Flinters has been toying with some layout ideas for what he wants to do.

Railroad Model Crafsman, N Scale Magazine and N Scale Model Railroading are the three magazines I recommend. Model Railroader is a classic, but a bit too generalized. Picking up back issues from Ebay or swap meets is a good way to get excellent info. Back issues are always relevant.
