You race back down the hallway, dodging constant bulging guts and rippling muscles as the guests seem to fill more and more of the mansion’s winding corridors. You’re starting to get nervous; if things get too much more out of hand, you may very well be stuck in here for a while. Snaking your way past a particularly blubbery wolf, you reach the safety of the atrium; the glass walls and ceilings, adorned with ornate wrought iron pillars and arches, pour in the light of the moon and stars, and the walls and floors are covered in the most exotic, verdant flora you’ve ever seen, with flowers that seem to glow in the dark and reeds that you swear are making music. Everything here seems peaceful, but you’re already craning your neck to check for any drinks Lu may have handed out.
“Oh, hey you!” a familiar, pear-shaped raccoon waves you down. Machi, with his cream-colored fur, stands a little taller, a burgeoning belly bouncing as he approaches you. His costume is stretched even further; it’s very evident he finally got another drink or two. “We were looking everywhere for you. I sent Tyler, but he got stuck in a door somewhere…” He frowns, dimpling his newly round cheeks. “You look out of breath. Do you want a drink?” He snatches a champagne glass from a tray, and offers it to you. Quickly, you explain the situation with the cheshires on the loose and now Tatsuya’s disappearance. “Oh! Don’t worry, Theo’s right this way.” Machi grabs your hand, quickly leading you to the center of the Atrium.
You spot a well built wolf, with broad shoulders and thick, beefy arms. He has a taciturn look on his face, and he’s dressed in a simple but elegant black and blue suit.
“Whoa now, you fellas are gonna need to slow your roll. What’re you doing running about?” The wolf crossed his arms across his thick chest. “Security detail is pretty lax tonight, but Theo wanted things at least kind of orderly.”
Rolling his eyes Machi groaned. “Jake, this is important, we have to find Theo, it’s about the incident involving Tatsuya. I would think that Theo wants to be informed of somebody trying to ruin the party!” As Jake refuses to budge, you threw your hands in the air. Theo clearly had an issue with getting decent security.
“I just said, you both need to cool off before I do anything. Theo told me to keep things calm and I’m not gonna have you fellas go running off and causing a ruckus.” The wolf shook he head and tensed his arms, nearly making the sleeves of his suit burst over the thick limbs.
“Come on Jake, it seems pretty important.” A rather large thing came lumbering toward the wolf. A pair of small tusks peeked out from a somewhat canine muzzle, two big ears wiggling on the beast’s head. A tawny coat was sprinkled with white spots, a large purple jacket complete with fur collar adorning the partygoer. A pair of headphones sat around his thick neck as he smiled softly. “No need to be such a stick in the mud. Besides if it’s really important and you held them up, Theo might get mad.”
“Villam’s right, Jake, if something goes wrong on your watch then Theo’ll be pissed!” Machi waggled a finger at the wolf.
Growling softly he holds his hands up. “Fine, I’ll find him for you guys. He can handle this whole thing.”
Villam chuckles softly as he swishes a glass of green wine. “And when you do that ask him if he can have that nice pink and purple guy swing around with more to drink.”
As the statement clicks in your head you try to lunge and grab for the drink, but it’s too late to stop the chimera from draining his glass, shouting for him to stop, but it’s too late.
“I beg your pardon?” Villam’s head cocked before he let out a soft grunt. The purple jacket he wore was quickly forced open by a belly that, while plush to start, was rapidly swelling to boulder-size. His chest and arms were thickening as well, sleeves riding up over meaty biceps as the chimera shifted around. Not only was he expanding outward, but he was beginning to grow taller, quickly towering above the security wolf.
“The heck?! Nobody’s blown up like that tonight,” Jake stumbled back from the rising mass of barnyard beast.
“That’s what we were trying to warn Theo about! Somebody’s spiking the drinks… more!” Machi said quickly. Looking up you watch as Villam’s body balloons with heft, belly bouncing and shaking with heavy fat. By some miracle his pants were holding around thunder thighs as his hooves scuffed across the floor.
“Oof, guys I feel kinda weird,” he managed to groan out before the chimera began to topple forward, landing with a resounding boom that was probably felt throughout the castle. Rubbing at his head he blushed, chubby cheeks dumpling as his bicep bloomed and shoved against his forearm. “Oh jeez, I’m sorry, I didn’t land on anything did I?”
From the chimera like a felled redwood, you spot Theo in the distance. The cheshire’s eyes are ready to pop out of his head, but his smile is still massive as he comes forward, marveling at Villam’s car-sized belly and his beefy, rippling biceps now bigger than Theo’s torso. “Well! My dear Mr. Randsom, you’ve been rather… thirsty, haven’t you?”
You can see Theo’s eye twitching. He’s quite pleased with Villam’s size, but he’s also trying to hide massive shock. Villam looks back to the Cheshire, looking over his mountainous side. “I, uh… I didn’t have that much.”
Finally, you manage to catch Theo’s attention, waving him over and explaining the situation. Now the Cheshire’s mouth is twitching. “If Mr. Humbug reaches my cellar… well!” Theo huffs. “Then this party will be utterly ruined, and I’ve not yet begun to get Tatsuya’s blood stains out of the carpet! We can’t let this tomfoolery to continue!” He grabs you by the arm, wrenching you down the hall. “Quickly, if he’s touched the 1315 Merlot then guests as large as Villam will be the least of our worries. Whatever will I serve the duck with?”
