It's neither teasing nor is it blackmail. What it comes down to is Marellis is telling Adult Star that she's been caught off base (American baseball) and she's out. She is in trouble, and rightfully so. The military isn't like a civilian job, she could easily be court martialed, lose rank, pay grade, even end up in the stockade/jail.
He's also telling her that because of her disobedience, as her superior NCO, he IS going to have to do something about it. Will he turn her into a baby at work. I highly doubt it due to HIS superiors asking about it, I don't see it happening. As I said earlier, this is psyops, or psychological operations, and it's working very well.
If Star is the storyteller I think she is, this conversation is going to go on for three or four more pages before Star even gets a word out. I do not expect her to use her safe word, but she needs to get her own emotions and temper under control, and quickly, or she'll lose a whole lot.

I don't see it as blackmail. Since Marellis is her direct superior at work, who's he going to tell? Himself? The officers he reports to?
Furthermore, WHAT is he going to tell them, he assigned Star weekend duty so he could go to a party, and when he wsa there, he discovered Star was there, not at her assigned duty station. They might ask him what kind of party, and unless they are ALL in on the age play thing, he doesn't want to go there. If they are, hey, Star is REALLY screwed.
But, I find it highly unlikely they would be involved in that, and I find it just as unlikely that Marellis wants to divulge his caretaker roll since it might be used against him in some way or another.
No, he's not blackmailing her, since that would be dangerous for him, but he is needling her and twisting the needle a bit.
Where this goes, I have no clue, and I suspect our Sqynx has now gone to bed, so we won't have anything until tomorrow at the earliest.

Hey, she's an intelligence specialist. Let her intelligence training try to get her out of it, right?!?
But, when it's your boss in intelligence that you're going up against, that's a hard road to travel.
Love Star, love Gem, have a great affection for Sammy, but I'll have fun with them when I can.

Well, I did mention this in one of my comments on the last page.
Starry dear, you may have bitten off a bit more than you can chew.
As to 'icky', Star, right now, I would be concerned about what Monday brings. However, honestly, I think you'll get out of this okay, and you aren't going to end up the office baby . . . too often. I'm not even sure that Yuri or Zach (By the way, I said 'Zach' on the previous page, I meant Yuri) will even find out . . . NOT!

Gah *flails* On one hand I really want to see Star drop her safe-word and watch an entire community driven by safe practice of kinky lifestyles "handle" Unka Matty.
On the other hand, Star has proven she is tougher than she looks and not one to be put in a corner unless she is somewhat comfortable with it. This is just as awkward for Matty and he chose to not keep the fact that he was there a secret which is the healthy thing to do in the long run.
Still *crosses arms* he is being a complete dick about it and deserves a strong swat on the nose.

Being "found" by people in your normie life is a terrifying moment!!
That being said, I just want to emphasis that I applaud Unka Matty's choice to step forward and remove the closet door, as it were. It's in the open and both of them cannot put it back in the shadows. Far healthier than if he had slipped out the back and not mentioned it to Star at all.
I hope his dickishness is more the awkward tension of his work/life/kink balance being thrown right the hell out the window with this. There are SO many rules for how subordinates and COs can interact on and off duty. Combined with the fact that he already had a rough time working with Star. Blah!!!! My tummy aches just thinking about all that stress.
*shakes fist* YOU TWO PLAY NICE!

He's no creep. He just told her that he is on to her and she should have been on duty. Military-wise that makes her AWOL, a very serious offence. Star got caught and is freaking out because she knows she will face the music later. The question is what 'punishment' is she going to get. I expect Star will be filling her diaper very soon if she hasn't already.
Honestly in professions as serious as that having something in common specially when it comes to something rather secretive you get to know another side of the person. So i see it being a good thing. Mean poor Star will probably get some embarrassing things from this little encounter but who knows could become friends XD.
While I really, really don't agree with Matt's punishment to have Star take over his weekend duties, seeing as he's an OR-6 and she's OR-4, and considering the fact I don't know what the UK's code of military conduct says would be an appropriate punishment for her repetitive lateness...
It starts to look more and more that Matt found a way to get his weekend off to attend this "party", and now he's seeing that Star didn't fulfill hey punishment from work...
At the same time, I wouldn't be half-surprised that Star manages to turn this around, saying that Matt took advantage of the situation to forcibly delegate his duties to a subordinate in order to attend a personal event. One could maybe even posit that he would have found someone, anyone, he was cross with to take over for him during the weekend... Them all that star would have to do is corroborate that this behavior pattern is recurrent on the part of her superior and insinuate that he been using his position of power over other soldiers in order to not have to fulfill his own duties...
Not to mention that if Matt starts to day things of a kink nature at work to Star, he might have to explain how he's come to know about these things, which would out him out at the same time.
So, would Matt dare, as star says? Maybe... But he probably knows that he would have to walk a fine line with his subordinate, since she now most like have as much ammo against him as he does against her...
Double-edged sword and all that.

It’d be pretty easy for him to make up a simple lie/half-truth in order to not have to out himself.
Also as a superior he can always pull the ol “who you gonna believe?” Authority over someone sadly gives one a tremendous amount of options to get away with most anything.
Quite simply, he is being a major creep.

I don't know what to make of this guy, he's clearly teasing Star and she's not enjoying it, but would he actually do something at work? I really don't know, because if he did then he could be shunned from the group. I read it as a Mutually Assured Destruction sort of situation.
Either way, I think Star should say her safe word, or get away from him somehow at the very least.

There is a part of me that would want to see her safeword or genuinely cry so manda gets all mama bear protective.....I havent really got to see what happens when a safeword hits or when something steps over whats ok and I'd love to see that because I really don't know how a good dom/adult is supposed to act when that happens and I'd love to see it so I can keep it in my mind
But this is so your story and Im so not gunna stop reading because it doesnt go that way haha. Love this <3

Awww, you know you would, honey. Might have to get Yuri to babysit you. Instead of poker at the bar after work, you'll be sitting in a stroller with a bottle while the others play cards, and tell you what a good baby you are.
Who was the bartender again? She seemed quite happy to have you hugging on her, maybe a new Mommy?

I kinda think Manda or Tessa, (I think that's the new name) set this up. I mean she kinda deserves the teasing she's receiving even if it's condescending. He's gonna break her but at the same time she asked for this and knows a little part of her likes it. I wouldn't be surprised if a relationship of some sort develops from this.
I mean he's not going by Tanalis on his badge either so I'm sure he can sympathize with having a secret life. They do need to have a calm adult talk though just to get all the worries of what, why, etc out the way.
Looking forward to the next page. Hope it's soon.

Gosh, he is putting off creepy vibes here. Comparing his actions now with any other time he has interacted with Star just lends to the dissonance and makes it unsettling.
I really want to know what kind of relationship he has with Manda. If he knows her or not. When he offered to help, she called him by name (then again I'm sure he has a name tag), so it seems like she knows him. I love Manda's character, but Marellis' has me conflicted. I'm thinking maybe if he finds this in common with Star, maybe he might lighten up on her outside of work, though that doesn't seem likely, from what we know about him at this point. So, maybe this reinforces that even if they may be an age player, that doesn't mean they're a good or pleasant person to be around. But time will tell - I REALLY wanna see where this goes!

Okay, for all of you who think Marellis is being creepy, consider this.
Both he and Star are adults. Either one, especially Star, can at any time say this is enough.
If she does, that's it, it's finished and she'll lose all of this. She's take a lot of gruffness from Marellis in the past, and she is strong enough to take more than what he's giving out now, but she has to relax a bit, take it all in and process it. She can't lose it before then, or she loses everything.
Marellis is correct in that she should be back at the office doing his duty, she IS being punished. If she can't act like an adult, then maybe she needs to be treated like a baby. At the moment, Marellis is using 'PsyOps', and doing it very well. He's inside Star's head, putting all sorts of images there, that he probably won't follow through on . . . probably. He's pushing her to lose her cool.
Star is better than that, but she needs to get a grip and work out what's happening, and how to fight fire with fire.
She COULD drop her paci, throw her arms around Marellis and snuggle up and kiss him. That would most likely put him off of his stride. She said she thought those diuretics were starting to kick in, so she could wet herself, and he might notice. There are all sorts of ways to turn the attention in a different way.
What Sammy has in store for us, however, remains to be seen. I hope she keeps her grip, she's going to need it.

Lilttle too late for all of that, though.
Star HAS to go into work on Monday. If she doesn't, she can be arrested and charged with Desertion, not something you want to be charged with in the Military. Also, because she IS in the military, you can't just 'quit.' You are under contract, at least in the U.S. military, and most likely the U.K. military as well You signed up for a specific period of time, and at the end of that time, you sign up again for another set period.
Why shouldn't Marellis be there? If this is his kink too, he has every right to be there.
Sure, Star can use her safe word, but as Manda has said, she'll put Star in the car, take her home, end of everything. End of story, except she still has to go into work on Monday and face Marellis who is going to know. She can claim he's horrible, but if Manda takes her home, you'll know that Marellis will hear about that before he gets into work on Monday.
Just saying. Star put herself in a situation that she thought she would be okay in, only to find out differently. It's all on her shoulders, and she needs to bear it.

So I figured I'd throw my two cents in here; when I was in the air force, sometime's I'd see my Tech Sarge off duty, but when you're in the military, you are always a Representative of the military, even off hours. We were both professional about it.
The problem here is, they met one another at a kink event which has many of it's own rules but I feel he's juggling them somewhat well. Yes he's a bit of a tart right now but I don't feel he's being out of bounds. Star's very new to the lifestyle and is still learning to separate the romanticized fantasies of the lifestyle to what it actually is. Throughout this comic, she's been pretty bad. She skipped her assigned work duty within the military (which can get you into MAJOR trouble, AWOL at the least) and she hasn't been communicating very well with Manda or Tessa. Communication is one of the biggest requirements in a B/l relationship.
I get being embarrassed about stuff and being shy, I really do but even so, several pages back she almost broke her relationship with Manda and Lure thanks to that behavior.
Now that said, her NCO (Corporal I think?) is breaking the rules a little by somewhat defiling her headspace but he's still doing it in a manner he thinks is most fitting. Star has some temper issues she needs to work through and I'd hope as her superior officer, sicne he's already broken their professionalism by talking to her, he'd take this as an opportunity to help them work together better.

Not addressing the content or situations portrayed here, but I have to say this.
You have done a wonderfully magnificent job with this comic, and this series of events in particular. To have brought out so much response, and in such strength of emotion, from this is something very few comics are able to do. And you've done so in a way that encourages a lot of thought and inner reflection. From reading the responses there's the range of people screaming for Star to say the safeword, to the deeper thoughts expressed of just how far is too far?
Kudos to you, and well done! Take is as a compliment that you earned these sorts of responses by formulating this entire scene so well, and I hope it gives you confidence in knowing which direction to take this.

I personally think art that provokes conversation is what art is supposed to do. It is very humbling and I feel reallyfortunate that the majority of folk my artwork attracts, are able to discuss their thoughts and feelings without it descending into drama 95% of the time. I'm very grateful for the calibur of folk discussing stuff here and on previous pages. Some of the comic can be...and will be.... quite polarising in places but so long as everyone respects that we all have different views theres no reason why we can't all get along.
Thank you for your lovely comment!
Thank you for your lovely comment!
As Gennie correctly said, this isn't blackmail cos in order to us it as such, he'd need to file a report that would pose the question "And what were you doing there?" so in Chess terms it's checkmate neither can report on each other without bring on consequences for both. This more saying I know you're also into this aren't you? and Star can't answer for now and if she could she could scarcely deny it.
