Waking from a psychic trance Celene discovers that she has driven off a cliff... If her investigation into the identity of The Star is enough to have someone attempt to kill her, perhaps there is something deeper going on than she realizes?
The wolfess had woken from a daze, finding herself recused from a falling car by the superheroine Alkahest. Her life had nearly been taken her, lost in a psychic trance and there would have been nothing that she could have done about it.
Instead she found herself on the side of the road, shaking next to another vehicle, an SUV that had pulled to a stop when she swirved off the road and right through the guardrail. The family inside was quick to comfort the wolf, a bottle of water offered and emergency services on their way. The black jaguar hopped back down to the wreckage, retrieving the wolfess' phone and bag from the vehicle for her.
As lights flashed and a siren sounded in the distance, Celene recieved comfort from her savoir and the driver of the SUV. Her investigation, her digging for answers had almost cost her life...
