More inflatable fun! Took a while, but I eventually got around to doing this, and hopefully it won't take me 3 months to do the final part.

Loud squeaks and the faint scent of rubber filled the air of the Balloon Area. Everywhere one looked, there were shiny, rubbery Pokemon toys and balloons, all laughing and having a grand time. Many inflated Pokeloons floated overhead, tugged along by other normal-sized Pokemon. Among those floating was a large, 3-foot in diameter Meowstic, completely full of helium. The formerly small blue cat Pokemon was in an elated state of bliss in his newly blimped form, twin tails happily blown up behind him. A small plastic nozzle had appeared on his belly upon becoming a toy balloon and attached to that nozzle was a string leading to his anchor. The one keeping him attached to the ground was his sister, a surly-looking Delphox toy. Despite looking like she was in a foul mood, she secretly loved the new feeling of her body being latex and hollow.
“So, Lilith!” Screens called out from overhead, his voice higher pitched than normal due to the helium. “This park is huge! Where should we go now?”
“Aren’t you my balloon guide?” Lilith looked up and replied snidely. “Tell me what’s around here and then I’ll pick.”
“OK, um…” The Meowstic scrunched his eyes shut tightly as he thought of the nearby attractions. “OH! I know the perfect one for you! Furret’s Popping Panic! It’s a race to see which owner can make their balloon pop the fastest!”
“And I assume the balloon, is you?” Her tone came out rather dry as she rolled her eyes. Screens let out a happy, squeaky giggle of confirmation. “Don’t know if I want to pop you though.”
“Come on! You just watched that Dragonair burst into confetti and come back unharmed! I’ll be fine! And besides, you love competing! Go show everyone how good you are!” Lilith shut her eyes and fiddled with the toy choice scarf around her arm. It had somehow become a toy alongside her when she was transformed by a special coffee.
“Ok, fine. Let’s go.” Lilith replied. The Delphox was extremely competitive and never missed an opportunity to put on a show. Screens let out another squeaky giggle as she dragged him towards the building where it was held, his big blue body bobbing blissfully.
The pair were greeted by a Furret as they arrived at the building. Upon mentioning that she wanted to compete, they were led backstage, barely squeezing Screens’ inflated body inside, where they saw 3 other pairs of Pokemon all getting ready. The opposing teams were a Vulpix and Alolan Vulpix, a Maegerna getting ready to pump a Scizor, and a Marill with a Pikachu. “It’s a 10-berry fee to enter.” Lilith paid out from her pouch, much to Screens’ delight. “K, we got a fourth!” Furret called out to the other pairs, whom all started cheering. Almost simultaneously, the Alolan Vulpix, the Scizor, and the Pikachu pulled off their plastic nozzles, followed by the sound of hissing air as their bodies deflated. Within moments, all three of them were laying flat against the ground, their pumpers picking them up and dragging them to the stage.
“Well? What are you waiting for?” Furret looked over at Lilith, who was still in awe at the spectacle of watching those Pokemon deflate.
“Oh, right.” The Delphox tugged on the string and pulled the floating Meowstic balloon back down. “Hope you’re ready, Screens.” He just nodded emphatically as Lilith reached for the nozzle on his belly and gave it a switch tug. The same loud hiss of air rang out as Screens’ body started to grow smaller. He giggled continuously at the ticklish sensation, and within a few moments he was back down to his normal size. Yet the air wasn’t stopping. More and more continued to leak out of his nozzle and his body started to flatten out and crumple. The hissing air sputtered out and Screens fell backward, his flat legs unable to support his completely flat body. He would have been laughing at his situation, but found no air coming out his mouth to do so. Lilith hoisted her paper-thin plastic brother over her shoulder; he was now just a deflated pool toy.
“There were go!” Furret dragged them both onto the stage where the other competitors were already waiting. Those who were pumping already had taken their places, each under a large spike from the ceiling. A large crowd of onlookers had formed in anticipation of the contest. Lilith took Screens’ body over to the unoccupied pump underneath a similar spike to those of the other teams in between the two Vulpix and the Pikachu/Marill team and attached the hose to the nozzle on his belly.
“All right everyone!” Furret spoke into a microphone to the large crowd watching the stage. “When the buzzer counts down, pump as fast as you can! The first to pop wins 20 berries, the second wins their entry fee back, third gets a consolation berry, and fourth… well there needs to be some competition!” The long Pokemon laughed into the mic as a buzzer started counting down. Upon hitting three rings, the light went green and the contestants started pumping their balloons.
Hissing air and squeaking rubber noises filled the room as all the deflated Pokemon quickly inflated. Lilith pumped as hard and fast as she could, fully raising and pressing the pump quickly. Screens flat body started to take shape, looking like his normal Meowstic size. His rubbery skin let out soft squeaks as he continued to fill with air and grow larger. Pump by pump, his belly and back bulged outwards giving his small blue body a rounded shape. Being all that he could do now was inflate, Screens checked out the rest of the competition. Scizor was looking the smallest so far, Maegerna seemingly distracted just by the sheer thought of the balloon bug. The Alolan Vulpix balloon next to him was blowing up at a steady pace, yet still smaller than he. And the Pikachu was a little larger than he was, squeaking with delight as his round yellow body neared the needle embedded in the ceiling.
Lilith paid no attention to the cheer of the crowds or the other competitors; the only thing on her mind was pumping. Up, down, up, down, 1-2-3-4-1-2-3-4… she muttered under her breath, moving the handle at on a rhythm. Screens’ body took on a hugely rounded shape now where his arms, legs, and even head started to get swallowed by the blue balloon he was becoming. Only his tails remained as an extended protrusion. As he grew ever larger, the sound of rubber squeaking against itself echoed out; his body rubbed up against both the Pikachu and the Vulpix balloons next to him. Though he couldn’t tell, the Vulpix was smaller than he was, but the Pikachu was still larger, the Marill clearly having some practice with pumping before. Screens pictured himself getting closer and closer to the needle, the prick turning him into a pile of scrap and Lilith standing victorious. He shut his eyes in bliss as he felt more air flow, waiting wistfully.
BANG!
The loud explosion forced his eyes open. Yellow scraps rained down from the sky as he noticed the Pikachu balloon was no longer rubbing against him and the Marill was letting out a happy squeal. Lilith growled at the pop, increasing her pumping pace. Ever faster the blue Meowstic balloon swelled, growing dangerously close to the needle. Screens felt something pushing into his massive body from above, yet he continued swelling knowing full well the needle was there. The needle pressed into his back, a large indent forming as he waited for the inevitable with a big smile on his face.
POP!
With a loud bang, Screen’s body burst into hundreds of tiny, rubbery, blue scraps, all slowly floating down. Lilith stumbled as the pressure from pumping her balloon brother up immediately dispersed. Furret walked over to her and handed off the ten-berry second place prize amidst the shower of Screens scraps. The Vulpix and Scizor bursted shortly after with an equally loud bang, their rubbery pieces decorating the stage like confetti. All the pieces of scraps started to pull together, a neat pile of blue rubber forming before Lilith. In a flash of light, Screens was back to his regular size with a rubbery hide.
“How are you feeling?” Lilith sounded concerned.
“Dizzy, but GREAT! That was so fun!” Screens wobbled a bit as they walked out of the building. “Would you mind not making me a blimp again just yet? I want to walk for a bit too!”
“But then how will you be my balloon guide?” She smirked.
“I’m still a balloon!” He squeezed his rubbery belly. “Just not a super huge floating one!”
“Fine, suit yourself.” The Delphox shrugged as they walked out into the park. “So, what else do you recommend doing here?”
“I heard of something PERFECT for you! Drifloon’s Obstacle Course!” His eyes beamed with excitement as he grabbed her hand and started running to lead the way. Lilith stumbled as she was dragged by her overeager brother to the next attraction. They arrived and were greeted by a Drifloon, lazily floating near the entrance to a long hallway.
“You up for challenge?” Drifloon asked the pair, a gleam in his beady eye garnering Lilith’s interest.
“Not me! Her!” Screens pushed Lilith forward.
“What kind of challenge?” She asked and placed her hand on her hips.
“Make it to the end of the hallway while dodging the balloons. Touch one and you’ll inflate a little. Touch too many and boom. Oh, and no removing your nozzle to deflate yourself inside.”
“Sounds simple enough.” Lilith stood at the entrance and looked down the hallway. Numerous yellow balloons were strewn about, some laying on the floor while others floated lazily in the air. Another loud bang echoed down from the hallway, causing the Drifloon to smirk.
“Sounds like someone else just burst in there. You’re clear to go.” Lilith took a stance at the entrance while Screens stood back and started cheering her on. Drifloon waved her on and she ran in, trying to weave around the bobbing balloons. A mechanical shifting noise rang in her ears as holes in the wall and floor started to appear with more balloons floating outwards into her path. One balloon brushed against her already bushy tail, popping on contact and startling her. A loud his of air emanated from her body as her blimpy tail swelled larger, making it even harder to dodge all the balloons. The Delphox steeled her nerves and pressed onwards.
Having such a huge tail made it extremely hard for Lilith to maneuver around all the other balloons. She wanted to make it to the end without bursting, just to prove she could do it. But about halfway through the hallway, another loud mechanical shifting noise echoed from above. Lilith looked up and saw three more yellow balloons falling from the ceiling and instinctively moved to dodge. Yet her giant balloon tail made what should have been an easy sidestep a cumbersome failure, tripping over as it slammed against the wall as all three balloons landed and popped on her squeaky body. As she laid on the floor, the hiss of air flowing into a balloon filled her ears. Her white and yellow belly quickly bulged outwards, squeaking as she swelled against the floor. Lilith tried to stand, but her belly soon grew too large for her legs to even reach the ground. Another wave of balloons fell and popped, grunting as her back puffed outwards and her arms and legs were pulled into the growing spherical balloon her body was becoming. A sense of tightness washed over as balloons popped all around, her body getting bigger and bigger with each pop. She sighed and gave in, knowing there was no way she could complete the obstacle course now. Larger and tighter she grew, waiting for the inevitable.
POP! Lilith’s balloonie body felt a wave a pressure before bursting into hundred of tiny yellow, white, and red scraps. The loud bang could be heard all the way at the entrance, where Screens was waiting.
“Sounds like someone’s run ended early.” Drifloon said as he hit a button behind his stand. A large gust of wind blew through the hallway, sending all the scraps of Lilith’s body back to the entrance. Once there, the scraps began forming into a single pile, and with a bright flash of light, Lilith was back to her balloonie Delphox form. She held her head to help alleviate some of the dizziness.
“You did GREAT, Sis!” Screens ran up to his sister, his body squeaking with every movement.
“I didn’t finish it though…” Lilith sounded more disappointed with herself than anything else.
“Doesn’t matter! Come on, there so much more to do here!” Screens started running off again while Lilith just sighed and followed along. “I heard about something cool! The Sky Zone!”
“What’s that?”
“It’s the balloon area in the SKY! It’s upside down, so you have to fill with helium to get up there!” Lilith shuddered as he spoke. One of her biggest fears was heights. She was only able to tolerate it when inflated because she knew she was still tethered to the ground. The mere thought of being upside down in the sky made her head spin.
“Ugh, I’m not doing that.” She shook her head. “If you want to, go ahead and have fun. Same thing as before, contact me telepathically and I’ll come get you if something goes wrong.”
“Are you sure?” Lilith just nodded at the concerned Meow. “Ok then! Have fun down here!” Screens ran off towards the entrance. Lilith turned around the other way, still trying to catch her bearings from popping. She shut her eyes and walked forward a bit, holding her head, when she tripped over as something rubbery rubbed up against her legs. Both her and the other Pokemon fell to the floor with a loud squeak.
“I’m so sorry!” A soft voice called out. “I’m just in a bit of a rush and… where are my glasses?” Lilith stood up and saw an Eevee balloonie wearing a white scarf frantically searching on the ground. The Delphox walked over and picked up the glasses, a pair that looked quite familiar.
“These yours?” Lilith handed them back to the Eevee.
“Yes, thank you so much. Again, sorry about bumping into you.” She put the glasses back on and Lilith’s jaw dropped. Then it formed into a smirk as she recognized the Eevee.
“It’s no problem. Belle.”
More inflatable fun! Took a while, but I eventually got around to doing this, and hopefully it won't take me 3 months to do the final part.
