The final Balloon Area story! This time it's Lilith meeting up with an old friend. This one was a lot of fun to write. It's also actually my longest story at about 4000 words and 8 pages. But it was also used to really introduce another character, one who I really like. So thanks for sticking with me even though this series took me an extremely long time to complete!

“Um, wait, sorry but do I know you?” Belle stammered while putting on her glasses and picking up her clipboard, turning to face whoever had spoken to her. The voice belonged to a familiar Delphox balloonie with stripes in her fur, who was staring down and smirking at the befuddled Eevee.
“Oh, come on. You don’t remember the best balloon at that helium day parade?” The Delphox replied snidely, a coy smile on her face.
“Right, Lilith! Sorry for forgetting your voice.” Belle blushed and turned away, her own balloon body squeaking with every movement. “I’m almost blind without my glasses. And I hope you’ll forgive me for not recognizing you last time we met.”
It was now Lilith’s turn to be puzzled. “Last time? That’s the only time we’ve met.”
“Oh, yeah… I’ve just seen… if it’s you…” Belle continued to stammer and mumble. “You’re Yomi’s Passion, right?”
“No one has called me that in a while. So, you’re a fan of my contest performances?” Yomi’s Passion was a nickname given unto her by an eccentric announcer at one of her earlier contest performances. It was very rare for someone to call a performer by their stage name outside of a contest hall out of respect. Only the most diehard fans would ever dare to do so, Lilith’s red eyes narrowed, and lips curled into a wry smile. “You looking for an autograph?”
“N-no, but I am a big fan… Your moves are always brilliant to watch. I’ve even learned some pyromancy spells after watching.” Lilith’s ears perked as she mentioned pyromancy.
“Someone like you shouldn’t be playing with fire.”
“Oh, I know a lot of different magic, especially on controlling the elements.” Her eyes shone as bright as the light reflecting off her rubbery hide. “Evolving is a huge thing for us Eevee, so I tried to learn some kind of magic related to everything I could decide to be.” She tightly gripped her clipboard as she thought of all the magic she had studied.
“Someone’s gotten a lot more talkative.” Lilith smiled as Belle blushed again. “So, what are you doing here anyway?”
“Well… I um, work here.” Belle showed the Balloon Area logo on the back of the clipboard.
“Wow, this place is something. Must be amazing to work here. What exactly do you do here?”
“Yeah, it’s nice.” She sighed heavily. “And I handle a lot of the spells behind the attractions.” A loud bell rang out over the sound of excited balloonie Pokemon as the clock struck the hour. “Oh no, it’s that late already? I’m sorry Lilith, but I’ve got to go. It was nice seeing you again though.” Belle bowed as she turned to leave.
“Mind if I tag along? I kinda want to see what goes on here.” Lilith started following her.
“Oh, s-sorry, but I’m really not supposed to…”
“Then just say I’m a new intern!” Lilith flashed another coy smirk. “Come on, you don’t want to be late.”
“F…fine. I’ve got to head to the…” Belle nervously flipped through the papers on the clipboard, a loud rubbery squeak as they slid against her paw. “The water balloon area. I shouldn’t, but let’s go now.” The balloonie Eevee started walking towards an area of the park, followed closely by the Delphox. They were greeted at Water Balloon Area by a giant sign with a Corpish and Lanturn on it with a beach and undersea motif. It was a subset of the park devoted entirely turning guests into huge, sloshy water balloons hoping for a fun and wet time.
“So the first issue is… Brionne’s Balloon Blast.” Belle looked around among all the balloonie Pokemon before heading off towards a large wooden tower with a slide. As they arrived, Lilith felt her stomach drop a bit. It was a very tall wooden tower with twin tubed slides. The Delphox gulped, already dreading the climb. Belle’s ears perked up as she heard her friend tense up. “If um, you don’t want to go up there, I c-can take care of this myself.” She blushed and turned away, trying to sound as sweet as possible.
“Are you calling me a coward?” Lilith’s temper flared. And with a nervous step, she started running up the stairs, her inflatable body squeaking with every step.
“Wait, Lilith!” Belle sighed as she chased after her. It was a tall tower, but the pair ran up it quickly; Lilith out of pride and Belle out of concern. Both panted as they reached the top, where they were greeted by a Brionne and a Primarina laying in a small pool of water.
“Hi, Ms. Belle! What’s the rush?” Brionne asked the pair as Lilith looked out from the top of the tower, clearly nervous. “And who is she?” The top of the tower overlooked a good bit of the park, having a huge vantage point. Twin tubed slides lead out from the top, both of which ending in a ramp near an area with a large target and the words ‘Splash Zone’ written on it. A single large bridge stood behind the target where numerous other Pokemon stood staring at the ride.
“Sorry, she’s a friend.” Belle flipped through the pages of her clipboard. “Looks like the water gem here needs a boosting spell?”
“Yup! We’ve been very careful about running the ride without it. Think you can help?” Brionne answered cheerfully. He opened a box on the wall revealing a dim blue gem suspended by some nodes.
“Of course!” Belle’s eyes lit up once more as she turned to another page with a strange symbol on her clipboard and began muttering a spell under her breath. Everyone remained silent, giving her time to focus. The symbol on the paper started to glow, as did the gem with a vibrant blue light. Belle finished the spell and the colors on the paper faded to nothing while the gem continued to glow with the hue of a clear, fresh lake. “And you’re all set. It should be running for a while now.”
“Thanks!” Brionne waved. “We had to close while you fixed this, but now we can reopen!”
“What exactly is this ride anyway?” Lilith spoke up for the first time since climbing the tower, her voice still shaky as she thought about climbing down from the tower.
“It’s fun!” Brionne chuckled cheerfully. “First we fill you with water and turn you into a big round balloon! Then we roll you down the slide and you land on the Splash Zone!”
“Why’s it called tha—oh. Oh no…” Lilith sounded nervous as she thought about a water balloon landing with that speed from that height.
“Yup! And a lot of guests like to watch from the bridge and get soaked!” Lilith’s rubbery started to twitch in fear. “Would you like to go for a ride? It’s all perfectly safe!” She tried to make some snarky response, but her voice failed her.
“It’s ok Lilith. We can walk down if you want.” Belle offered a paw to her clearly terrified friend.
“No! I’ll do it!” Her temper flared again, hating the idea of anyone even suggesting she was afraid of anything. “But you have to do it with me!” She glared down at Belle, who now bore a shocked expression.
“Um, I really don’t have time for—”
“I checked your update schedule. There’s only one more thing you need to do today. Come on, have some fun!” Brionne tried to encourage her. “I won’t tell the boss!”
“But… my glasses…” She stammered again, trying to come up with a reason to not do it. Brionne giggled as he pressed a button on a small panel on the wall and spoke into it quietly. After a few minutes of waiting, a Delibird flew up and landed at the top.
“We’re opening now?” He asked as Brionne and Primarina nodded enthusiastically. “Good. Was bored.” He held out a wing at Belle, beckoning to give him her glasses and clipboard. She reluctantly turned them over. “See you in the splash zone.” He said before flying off.
“So, any reason not to do it now?” Lilith smirked again, just wanting to be off the tower already
.
“N-no I guess not…” She looked defeated and upset as she spoke, partially due to her lack of vision.
“Great! Then let’s get started, shall we?” Brionne hummed a tune and motioned to the Primarina. She started to sing a beautiful tune, creating two swirling bubbles of water that floated brilliantly overhead. With a pushing motion, the bubbles started to float towards the Delphox and Eevee. The swirling orbs of water flowed into their mouths, quickly starting to fill them up. Lilith held a shocked expression as the cool, sweet water pushed her belly outwards. Each passing second had her swelling larger, the sounds of water sloshing around inside her. Her rubbery skin stretched and creaked nicely as she grew. Belle looked much more disinterested as the water entered her own balloonie body. Her brown belly swelled out underneath her, making her feel very heavy. It wasn’t long before her gut was large enough to press against the floor.
The bubbles quickly shrank in size as the water continued to deposit inside the Pokemon balloons. Lilith’s belly and chest pushed out even farther, becoming nearly indistinguishable from each other. Water even pulsed into her arms, legs, and even her tail, puffing them outwards and making her completely immobile. Her back started to press outwards, her body taking on a spherical shape. Legs and arms still filled, only to be consumed by the squishy, rubbery orb that her body had become. Her large, puffy tail curved around her body, matting itself. She let out a soft purr as even her head started to become barely an impression in her perfectly round water balloon of a body.
Belle continued to drink the water, her body now being lifted by her sloshy belly. The bubble drained just as fast as she inflated. She let out a mild sigh as her arms and legs left the ground, leaving her immobile now. Every drop of water raised her higher and higher into the air on her belly, until her body started to tighten and round out as well. Her arms and legs puffed with water once again, while her back pushed outwards. The bubble drained further as she grew bigger, her sloshy, rubbery belly starting to tighten as her body took on a spherical shape as well. Her short brown arms and legs were swallowed up by her balloonie body. Even her cheeks puffed outwards while it became nothing more than an indent in her form.
“And, perfect!” Brionne smiled happily. “Amazing job as always!” Primarina took a bow at the compliment. The two water Pokemon rolled the water balloon Pokemon into the starting pool of the slides, water flowing down both tubes. Lilith would have said something snarky but couldn’t even open her mouth. Belle just sat there passively, waiting for the inevitable. “And we’re good! Time to launch!” Brionne and Primarina pushed the two Pokemon water balloons down the tubes. “Have fun!” Was the last thing they both heard as they entered the dark tunnel.
Spinning, spinning, the world was spinning for both girls. Lilith couldn’t tell which way was up or down as she rolled down the slide. All she could focus on was the rush of speed and the sloshing of water from inside her body. Belle was much calmer, having been on this ride many times before. Though she knew what was happening, everything was still a blur. The only consistency was the sloshing water and her rubbery hide moving. The slide only lasted a few seconds, but it felt much longer for both balloons. A light at the end of the tube started to appear, though they only got brief glimpses of it as they rolled towards it.
The covered portion of the slides ended suddenly as the slides transitioned into ramps, with Lilith and Belle launching over it. Their rounded water balloon bodies still turned in the open air, but Lilith was able to catch a few glimpses as they flew; they were heading for the Splash Zone target as many Pokemon stood on the bridge and watched. Their heavy, sloshy bodies reached the vertex of the launch and started to fall directly onto the mowed grass target. Lilith’s mind started to panic, but Belle remained calm as they fell. It was inevitable.
SPLOOSH!
The Delphox and Eevee balloons hit the ground with a large, loud splash. It was an instantaneous feeling of pressure being released as the pair burst into scraps and soaked the onlookers, much to their delight. Red, yellow, white, and brown scraps fluttered about in the air, eventually all coming to rest in piles. In another flash of light, Lilith and Belle were back to their normal balloonie bodies full of air, standing on the splash zone target as the watchers cheered.
“Um, Lilith? I’m really sorry, but can you help me get off here? I can’t see.” Belle asked the air, not even facing the Delphox. Lilith walked over and picked her up, trying to be careful as she carried her back to the main area of the park. “Thank you. Again, sorry to ask this.”
“Don’t apologize.” Lilith huffed. “We’re friends.” She walked back, carrying her friend and flagging down the Delibird, who flew over and returned Belle’s glasses and clipboard. The embarrassed Eevee quickly put them back on and jumped out of Lilith’s grasp.
“T-thank you.” She bowed towards both Lilith and the Delibird. “I really can’t see without these, so I’m sorry…”
“I just said to stop saying you’re sorry. There’s nothing to be sorry about.” Lilith’s voice sounded much sterner than usual. “You needed some help with this, no problem. Come on, didn’t you have one more thing to take care of here?”
“Um, yes…” Belle nervously flipped through her clipboard. “The last issue is at… S & S Lazy River.” She started walking as Lilith trailed behind.
“S & S?”
“Slakoth and Slowpoke. They were too lazy by themselves to run it. And together… they’re still too lazy.” It wasn’t a far walk among other balloonie Pokemon to the river, the entrance of which looked like a dock for ships. Slowpoke and Slakoth stood by in a dream state; Lilith almost unable to tell if they were conscious. Instead, a Vaporeon sat in a lifeguard tower and stood watch over the ride. A lot of balloonie Pokemon were just floating in the river as the water flowed down its path. Some were inflated, others at their normal size, but all just enjoyed the slow ride.
“So, what do you have to do here?” Lilith asked Belle who was scribbling something on her clipboard.
“I um, actually need to get off this ride partway through. It’s an employee-only area though.” She looked down at her paper and blushed, realizing she had another problem. “I can’t get this board wet though, so I need to float on my back…”
“Yeah, no. I’ve got a better idea.” Lilith flashed another coy smile as she walked over to an air tank set up at the dock. She gave a wink as she put the hose into her mouth and loosened the valve. The familiar hiss of air rang in her ears, her white rubbery belly squeaking as the air flowed into her. She prodded her tummy with a single finger, feeling it press into it as she inflated. Shutting her eyes in delight, the Delphox let out a happy purr as she rubbed her growing gut, with loud squeaking noises from her latex body. Belle watched in awe, already figuring out what she was doing. Second by second, inch by inch her belly inflated further. Lilith was in absolute bliss. It always felt great to inflate when her body was in its regular furry form, but the feeling of swelling up with air as a completely hollow balloon was a strange, empty, satisfying feeling unlike one she’d ever felt before. Upon reaching a foot and a half large, Lilith pulled the hose out of her mouth. Though most other riders were inflated into giant round balloons, she stuck with just her belly being big for now. She walked over and picked up Belle again, pressing the Eevee’s head into her swollen middle. Belle let out a muffled squeal, both surprised and delighted by the action. “Your boat is ready, Belle.” She stood in the river and laid down on her back, placing her friend atop her ballooned belly.
“You didn’t have to do this… Thank you though.” Belle spoke, sheepish as ever.
“Probably, but I wanted to.” Lilith patted her giant gut as the current carried her away among plenty of others.
“I need you to hug the wall on the right.” Belle spoke up.
“Are you actually telling me what to do?” Lilith feigned anger, again causing Belle to blush and look away.
“s-s—”
“Kidding! You’re the captain of this boat!” Lilith paddled over to the right side of the river as Belle asked. “When we get to wherever you needed to go, tell me and I’ll grab the wall.” The two just floated along in silence as Belle kept watch for the access point. Upon reaching it, Lilith grabbed the wall and Belle jumped off, offering a paw to pull the Delphox out of the river. It was a struggle with her massive belly, but she managed to roll over and climb out.
“Again, sorry, but this is employee-only access. I need you to wait here.” Belle walked through a gate, leaving Lilith by herself. The Delphox grumbled due to being forced to wait, but she passed the time by watching the other Pokemon balloons float on by. Out of nowhere, she heard static, followed by a voice. It was Screens calling her telepathically and he was asking to be picked up. She nodded and told him she would be there soon. After a few minutes, the gate squeaked open and Belle walked back through.
“What did you have to do?” Lilith questioned.
“Um, I had to cast a special spell… It’s really classified stuff, so sorry I can’t say more.” The Eevee blushed again, very easily embarrassed.
“OK then. Well then, the boat’s leaving. All aboard!” She picked Belle up again and like before, placed her on her hugely inflated belly as she laid in the river. “Thank for showing me some new stuff here today, but I’ve got to go grab my brother and head home after this.”
“Oh, ok… I um, had fun spending some time with you.” Belle let out a rather sad sigh.
“What’s wrong?”
“Sorry, what?”
“You don’t need to be a psychic-type to see you’re upset over something. So again, what’s wrong?”
“I was just thinking. Can you love something, but still get tired of it?” Belle leaned forward atop Lilith’s belly, trying to hear her voice better.
“Yes, obviously. I love training, fighting, and performing, but even I need breaks from that.” Lilith rubbed her inflated belly. “And becoming a balloon, either a real one or just inflating for fun, is how I like to relax.”
“I feel the same way about this job. I love it, but I live here.”
“Sometimes it feels like that when you spend a lot of time at one place. My friends used to joke that I lived in the gym.” Lilith chuckled as she floated down the river.
“Not like that, sorry. I really do love my job and what I do here, but I literally live here. Over by the milk bar, there are some administration buildings. And above those are homes for some of the workers. I live there.” Her voice had a very sad tone to it.
“How’d that happen?” Lilith sounded very concerned as she stopped rubbing her belly.
“I was working here for a while, but while I was here, my home… it burned down.”
“What? How?”
“The police report said there was some fight between fire types and a stray blast hit it. I mean, I wasn’t there at the time, so I was fine, thank Arceus, but I lost most of my belongings and the place was uninhabitable.” Tears started streaming down her face as she spoke.
“I’m so sorry to hear that! Goddamn irresponsible fire types giving the rest of us a bad name.”
“Yeah, but again, I was fine so that’s good. And when the owner of the park found out, bless his squeaky kitsune heart, he offered me one of the homes for free, in addition to my salary. I didn’t want to be a burden, but he insisted…” Her sobbing slowed a bit. “And he said I’ll always have a place to stay, no matter what. He really is a kind soul.”
“I’m glad you’re safe and have a home, but do you ever get out of here?” Lilith wasn’t sure what else to say.
“I still only work 5 days a week and do get time off, so it’s actually a really great job. It’s just that it sometimes gets to be mentally draining, being around your work so much.” Belle’s tears had stopped, but her voice was still quivering.
“I understand. It sounds like you need a real vacation.” Lilith shut her eyes as she thought about how to comfort the Eevee riding on her belly. “Tell you what, next time you get a day off, we’ll go to the city together. Have a night out, have some fun, just you and me, my treat.”
“Are you being serious?” Belle blushed again. “I could never ask that of you.”
“Of course, I’m serious!” Lilith said hotly. “What else are friends for?”
“Oh, um, thank you so much! I’d love to do that!” Belle sounded much happier than she had been all day. “And I’m sorry for unloading all that onto you. Thanks for listening.”
“Don’t be stupid or sorry. You’re my friend. Sometimes it helps to just have an ear to vent to.” The lazy river the pair had been floating on was reaching full circle, the pair arriving at the dock again. Once again, Belle jumped off and helped Lilith out, a task again made cumbersome by her inflated belly.
“I had fun showing you around today…” Belle blushed again. “And I’m looking forward to hanging out with you again.”
“So am I.” Lilith took the clipboard from her and scribbled her phone number on a blank sheet of paper. As she reached down to return the board around her giant belly, another devious smile grew on her face. The Delphox picked up the Eevee once again and held her atop her huge gut again.
“Um, Lilith? I— mmph?” Belle was interrupted as Lilith planted her lips on her own, giving her a soft, rubbery, passionate kiss. Belle’s eyes went wide before shutting, first out of shock then pleasure. Lilith broke off the kiss and placed her back on the ground.
“I’ll see you again soon.” Lilith winked as she walked off towards the sky zone to her brother. Belle just stood there, dumbstruck as she thought back on the day; what they had done today, how she had opened up to her, Lilith’s promise, and their kiss. She blushed deeply again, her tail vibrating and her heart aflutter.
