Not very happy with the sketch, but it cleaned up nice, and the coloring hides a lot of the flaws that are glaringly obvious to me. Sorry it took so long to do. Halloween and scanner troubles and artist-angst-self-doubt issues and hating this sketch issues and...well. Anyways, it's done now...
Marissa chants her firebolt spell, come-hither gestures bringing another molten blob of rock and flame into being, the chant growing in volume until she practically shouts the last syllables and flings it at the remaining giant ant. The insect jerks back as the molten projectile sears towards it, the blob of hot rock grazing the insect before splattering off behind it. Glancing blow or not, a ball of magma can do some serious heat damage, and the smear of glowing rock sizzles and pops on the bugs chitin as it falls over, twitching, cooking slowly to death...
Mechanics:
Giant ant #2 save against Marissa's firebolt:
1d20=18 vs DC 15: succeed, 1/2 damage
2d6=6 x 1/2 = 3 pts damage
End of combat - for now!
Smiles watches the bug sizzle and pop, glancing around nervously, then stepping close to grab a leg. The troglodyte braces a foot against the still quivering ant's thorax and pulls the leg off with a jerk. It waves the length of steaming chitin at the darkness. "Quick! More come if we don't go..." then starts off, following the trail of dribbles again...

First off, this is not a flame or rant, just a statement...
I've actually spent about 10 minutes just now trying to find some guidelines somewhere for the ratings and found nothing. So - hope I didn't offend you or anything with my picture, but, at least in my account, mature postings are violent and/or gore, adult postings are nudity and/or sex. Suggestiveness like this is unrated. Take heed and if it makes your eyes bleed, don't look.
On the other hand, if you like this sort of stuff, enjoy! There WILL be more...later...when I have the time...

(( Don't worry if you feel like you need a break, I'm sure everyone understands. I imagine keeping on top of everything is quite a lot of work, and you don't want to burn out. I have to say though, I've really enjoyed a lot of your recent works! ))
