It was a calm summer night, and in the secluded mansion south of Seacrest, a dragon and a crow sat in their favorite chairs after a long day at work. The badger butler had just left after making sure everything was fine with his masters.

Artem sighed and stretched out his legs, running his clawed hands along the cloth of his chair, happy to be in his home once more, in his favorite spot, he looked over to his partner, Nikolai.

Nikolai put his phone away. "Well, it seems like the cleanup of Atonn is going well. If it continues like this, the inner city branch should be running by winter." Smiling, the dragon reached for the bookshelf behind him. "Now, I'm sure I can catch up on my reading. I have put it off long enough."

In a rather thick russian accent the crow nodded. "I'm very happy things are going as planned... but I am more happy to put our business to the side... I also have some reading to do..."

He cleaned his glasses on his jacket, putting them back over his muzzle. "Ever since I allowed others take care of tasks rather than doing everything myself, I have obtained more time for myself and for us..."

Artem smiled happily at the dragon. "Yes, Nikolai... I am very happy to be able to spend this time together, I know recently things have been moving so fast..." He reached over and grabbed a book off of a table near them.

Nikolai nodded, opening his book. "We still have much time together, my dear. This is only the beginning for us both..."

Artem reached over and grabbed Nikolai by the hand and squeezed it gently, his other hand tabbing through the top of the book until he found the book mark and flipped it open in his lap.

"What are you reading, Artem?" Nikolai leaned over curiously.

"Ah, it's a copy of Moby Dick, and you, my love?" Artem peeked over, curiously.

"The Metamorphosis...it's quite interesting." He chuckled to himself.

"Hm... you always read interesting things... I must try that book after you..." Artem looked at his book and smiled. "After mine, also..."

"Well, there is just so much to read here...and now we have all the time in the world." He leaned back, making himself comfortable in his chair.

Artem stretched his legs in front of him and looked down to the book in his lap, beginning to pick up where he left off, about halfway through.

Nikolai also looked down to his book, but not before giving one last gaze to the crow sitting next to him. He smiled, thinking about how to go with it. After all, a proposal had to be very special.
