This is for those who, like me, would like to have more details on how the two voices are made.
In the image above you can see on the left the pin distributions for the music boxes (stronger color = more intense plucking of the note), and on the right the original voice fundamental distribution in the spectrograph visualization.

uh... not it's more like it's all parallelized. Basically if Philomela wants to speak she "thinks" what she wants to say then sends it off as """letters""" to a different device which builds up the correct pin sequence for that. So she might have a delay when she speaks of about a tenth of a second. But that is actually half of what humans experience so it's unnoticeable.
