But the architecture popular in the capital is a distinctive quality of its own. Gold-threaded marble columns, great glass facades, and metric tonnes of gold for gilding and decoration. The distinctive look of this Dranlathos Style is what has given rise to the nickname "The City of Gold and Glass" to describe the look and extraordinary wealth of capital.

Most of such towers are offices. Financial warrens, icons of the power of the elite, and high-worth apartment complexes that cater to the Imperium's wealthiest citizens. The Centis Precinct - the historic core and the very centre of imperial power in the galaxy - is where one can find the tallest spires. For the most elaborate (and the most elaborate apartments), a visitor's best chances are in the westward Ratirmanse Precinct.
