So some pondering last weekend during a stream of the silly TF scenario where Dee turned Excaliber (  enskyer ) into a flower (a.k.a. "Excauliflower", on the spur-of-the-moment I decided to do a sequence of doodles.

What was supposed to be just a moderately-quick sequence for fun, then became a more-elaborate mini-comic with full backgrounds and shading because I felt like expanding it with this first silly scene and other nonsense (still, arguably, just "for fun" 😜) and it accidentally snowballed from there. Maybe not something I'll be doing all the time, but sometimes it's nice to just "do whatever", even it if's committing to overly-elaborate ideas like hand-lettering the bubbles or full-colour backgrounds… 😝

So!

Kree nags Dee about how he has once again neglected to give poor Excauliflower enough water! So Dee, as practical as he is lazy, decides to just plant him outside in the back yard and be done with it. Rain happens outside, right? He'll be fine… probably… 🤷‍♂️

Out in the garden, Excauliflower meets the Pirahna Plant Kree (further explanations about his backstory here and here), who's also been replanted out of his misc pipe in the middle of nowhere and into the back yard. After all, it would've been rude to leave him stuck out in the middle of nowhere, even if he got way too sour and grumpy and got replaced by another spare Kree. He's still pretty mad at the meatlings for abandoning him to his perma-plant predicament, so it's good for him to have a new plant-friend out here in the yard. It's not like those two lounge-lizards ever actually use the back yard much anyway…

Pirahna Plant Kree (hm, perhaps he needs a new name now…) calls Excal "little bud", because he might have a thing or two to tell his new small flower friend about life as a plant. It's not like Excauliflower is going anywhere else any time soon… 😜
