Oct 17 2042, Day 27-
Another test to prove I can still work. I’m definitely starting to have trouble in carrying it out. The instructions themselves are fine enough. It’s just that my hand are not being all that cooperative anymore. My handwriting is definitely getting far more sloppy than it did before and it’s taking far longer than it used to since my hand keeps cramping up. My handwriting with my dominant hand now looks like that of my off-hand.
Went to the support group again. Definitely somewhat depressing place to go, to see just how bad things are getting. But apparently the fact that I am not having any blackouts or more prone to losing my train of thought is a good thing. There’s one guy in there that looks about as far along as I am that seems to struggle to even say his own name. It seems that not all transitions are the same. For some the mind goes as well, for others, they mostly get to stay who they are inside.
Had a talk with the guy who I said was my handler. Told him about the cramping situation and he said it would be unavoidable eventually, but did give me some exercises to do in the mean time to try and at least prolong how long I can still use tools. And when I absolutely can no longer live on my own anymore he’s already arranged his place to be comfortable for me. He also says he’ll be stopping by my place on Sunday to help try and get it set up to handle someone in transition.
