Spontoon Island 1934
Trying to get my art mojo going again, and while out today paying my rent, I glanced up and saw a much older bi-wing twin float seaplane going overhead. First off, wheres that guy gonna land? Everything is frozen up here?
And I realized that its been ages since I did anything for
Heywulf's Spontoon Island. Plus wanted to draw something that wasn't furry. (Okay Okay, the two crew are)
So heres a twin float for you Ken!

Oh yeah, the ones I've seen always have that tilted up front landing gear wheel in front of each float, plus you can, if low enough, can see the gear doors. Most of the seaplanes locally are twin float, usually amphibious or the boat hulled type with high monowing and drop down gear dropping down from the hull sides.
This bird was also late 30s vintage and biplane and it was quite slow plodding along the sky, allowing me a good hard look as it flew past.
