I think Star has realised that
1. Never piss off Tessa,
2. That maybe once Star is out of here, she might just put a bit of distance between her and Tessa, just to be on the safe side.
3. Has Bob been teaching Tessa or has Tessa been teaching Bob?
Also before people point it out Soy/soya I used both as last time half the folk didnt know what soya was and I spent most of the comic section explaining that soya milk was soy milk. Its the same thing

Also, BabyStar, I'm about to say something I've never said on your stories before: You made a typo. First panel, there should be a period between "wanted" and "Though". Or a comma, but you used a capital letter for the word "Though", so I assume it's a period.

If it was me, I'd offer Mary an "out" and a "gift". Mary can leave if she wants, but she gets to wear that outfit/gift all the way home and her only means of getting there is by walking or using a bus token. Or she can stay and have baby-fun time if she's willing to risk Tessa's wrath should she misbehave. Either way, you'll want to keep wearing that diaper
Yeah. I'm hoping Star lets him go. He's a jerk, he's been being awful, but he's already going to be kicked out of the community and have to deal with that. A dressing down, being told to leave her alone and then sent packing (with perhaps the thought that should Tessa end up getting her claws on him again Star might not be there to rescue him) would be what I'm hopeful for at this point.
I know if it was me I'd have been at home by this point doing whatever I had to do to make sure Tessa couldn't kidnap me. :P

I would certainly hope she'd "distance" herself from someone who'd kidnap, drug, non-consensually dress in fetish gear including a gag, non-consenually record someone, instruct others to restrain someone against their will (Lure? For real?) while they are panic coming out of a drug-induced blackout, drug that same person again? Like, this isn't just one or two bad decisions, this is a laundry list of crimes. Actual crimes! Like, if Marellis gets kicked out of the local scene, like he should, great. But Tessa should too? How the heck could anyone be or feel safe around someone who does all that? Like, yes, Martin's behavior was wrong and dangerous to both the community and others in his care. So is Tessa's!
Like, I know this isn't happening to anyone real. But real choices are being made in how to write this and how to present this. As a survivor of assault, I can understand setting this up as a way of catharsis, but this is super over the top, and the main person setting this in motion gets light rebukes and stuff is resolved in a page.
Not to mention you have a comments section filled to bursting with people saying over and over how the character deserves it, how changing his masculine sounding name to a more feminine one is soooo embarassing. I'm not saying everyone is gonna go out and duplicate what they see, but seeing one character's super shady and awful actions get supplanted by even super shadier actions to cheers is a little disturbing.

Get out, never come back or next time I won't be involved and no one will rescue you from Tessa's criminal escapades."
TBH everyone making sure to call him "Mary" and "she" (and with such -glee-) really really bugs me. Because _he_ would very much likely not choose to be called such. It's misgender/misnaming and it bothers me on a deep level. I try my best to get everyone their right gender/name. To the point that I have asked people IRL how to pronounce their names so I can make sure it's correct.
I did give a few LOL's at first at him being stuck in the dress, but that was before we found out how he got in it. :\ Now I'm just going "Can we let him go? I think he's learned his lesson." And I know it's fiction and not something to base your own life choices on. XD I think at this point if they just _pretended_ they had pictures of him he'd stop. I also...really...don't want to see him crap his pants (even though it seems like there are a ton of people drooling at the thought. D:)

Like I don't care if you enjoy humiliation as a kink or fetish, bur using my gender/or/sex as a way to humiliate, hurt, and punish someone is hurtful to me, this is telling me its okay to hurt others using outdated transphobic actions and speech so long as the person is cis, which is not how this works at all.
Not to mention the downright disrespect towards transpersons, like wow these people are actually going to use the same tactics that TERFs use against transpersons against a cis person who (albeit isnt a good person) got drugged, molested and held captive against his will.
Maybe I'm being too sensitive, but at the same time I'm not the only one with a problem with the use of sissification as a genuine form of torture or hurting others...
To each is their own, but don't use TERF style bullying, them calling Mareallis(I'm not good at spelling names) "Mary/She" is the same as deadnaming and purposely using the wrong pronouns just to hurt. Not cool.

This is kind of the frustration I get as someone who's a few pages ahead due to Patreon. I love seeing the story unfold asap, but I can't talk about it with most people until the pages come out on FA, by which point I've already seen what happens next! And now I have to endure the torture of seeing loads of people make wild judgements about the characters and the situation but not being able to really say anything about it for fear of spoiling things xD
I dunno, I can only imagine how rough it's been for Squig having her comic held to such a high standard compared to literally every other AB/DL webcomic out there.

You know... Out of this whole emotional rollercoaster ride that we and Star have been through, I'm just honestly hoping that this experience she's been through doesn't completely ruin ABDL stuff for her, and that she will get to have a happy ending, and still keep her love of ABDL and the close friends she's made thanks to it. Your writing is magnificent, and it has stirred feelings both good and bad within me. Hell, there were legitimately moments in the story of Shine where my anxiety issues got a grip on me and almost made me quit reading. Still, I love the art and story in Shine, and will continue to enjoy reading it and keep my hopes for a happy ending.
TL DR version: Thank you BabyStar for creating Shine and taking us all on this magnificent emotional rollercoaster ride while teaching us valuable life lessons as well. You are one of the best artists I've ever encountered, and I hope that you never lose this beautiful creativity of yours.

Alternate Universe Star who’s a little more violent: Remember me? Let me tell you a little about myself. I grew up in a pretty unusual house. It was a Roundhouse *roundhouse kicks Marrelis*! We were poor. So I had to make fruit juice from a mule. We called it Donkey Punch *donkey punches Marrelis*!
I wouldn't go so far as to call Tessa "scary" per se, but you DEFINITELY want to stay on her good side.

yes its holding some one agast their will you could argue sexual assult but he wouldnt want it to come out that he is in to that kind of stuff when hes in a postion of trust in the military. he would never live it down as star is at the moment getting ribbed from colleauges now even though there under the impression its for charity
but marellis didnt only do one unforgiveable thing he not only blackmailes star but recored footage secretly at fetish events breaking trust in people in the community a as star was new he used her niaevity to play on her and which is abuse he did yes agree a deal but he should not put star in that place then he breaks their deal of staying quiet by distributing a flier with a picture of her on from the event meaning theres no trust or intergity in a man who is supposed to be in a position of trust

Somehow, despite everything Marellis has done, I don't really see it in Star's character to rub it in and humiliate him. But "just letting him go" or making some sort of peace offering would also be too easy on him given what he was going to do to her.
I'm also interested to see if we can find out what Marellis thinks of all this. As far as he is concerned, Star may have basically set this all up herself for revenge. So what how he sees the situation will have to factor into Star's response.

This situation is amusing but also getting weird like the last panel with star padded infront of him. Anyway hope you win that award! I also wonder if were approaching the end of this comic or you have multiple over arching plot lines planned or maybe a second chapter after the whole blackmail plot is over.
Hello, Honestly one of the main reasons I made this account was to say thank you. This story means so much to me because I can relate to it a lot. Being embarrassed and ashamed of how I am. Having some major family troubles in my life and even being blackmailed with pictures of me in a similar situation. This latest ark in the story especially. Someone I trusted a lot blackmailed me with pictures of me that if they got posted my life would be over and for months I was a puppet. So seeing a character like that getting the justice I didn't is someone therapeutic for me. Thank you so much for all of this. Im not sure you will even read this but I just want you to know how thankful I am <3
