Watch them wiggle, See them jiggle
Found some old art that wasn't burned yet, and some of it was old Barr Wars art.
This was a gag involving Melody Rondeau's character Lorecifer and Skudder Kidwell's Beth, the Magical Unicorn (without a horn, thats the way Skudder drew her.) And still aardvark Rabbi Tom.
Personally I loved picking on Beth, Skudder seeing how successful Red Shetland was becoming, wanted his character to be just as. Beth is not the sharpest tool in the box, smart as a bowling ball. Skudder would later draw up a book after seeing the success of the Red and Dutch Wedding and zapped certain key artists. Had I'd known back then he was going to publish this later, I would have done better art-wise. I had Red basically calling Beth a drama queen and attention whore. Others involved carried it further along.
MelWhite pretty much did what she could to salvage the storyline and thankfully end it sooner than later. I recall Mel had to revamp the initial story Skudder wrote up for his comic, from what I read in the first draft or two, it was an endless loop stupidity and Mel had to derail the story and actually make a story out of it that was far more readable and enjoyable.
This was drawn up a few years after Skudder's "The Crusade" would be printed up.

Oh god. That insufferable, goody two shoes, clueless, unicorn. I remember this well. I still have most of my Barr/Bizzare Wars binders full of zaps. Wish aI could share but I don’t have permission to post other people’s characters. The big Felix and Betsy story was a favorite.
I miss the orchestrated bombings we did on Terri's elf compound with B-52s. Plus how the jagerri and Coffee teamed up with Red and Dutch after the threats that one hard commie wannabee artist was doing against her son. I miss turning Crispin into a Nazi punk and slapping around Joy Riddle's Harry the horse character. Huge difference today is the artists didn't go crying that the other artists were being mean. They art zapped back (albeit some rather poorly. ) unlike today's crowd who'd go crying on Twitter.
There is still the Crosstime Forum, but the format doesn't appeal to me. Just endless talk, talk, talk.
...and that's a 6-pack of these...
Yeah, I know, you're allergic to hops so you can't drink beer...
7 ounces is called a Pony!

Memories! Lorecifer and Dataur. I miss that gang, sending in our photocopies of art to Glen, getting piles of art in the mail later.
I cringe at my art skill of the time, but it was still a blast to be part of it.
If I Sister Rat's email or snail mail, I'd zap her good now.

Like I told Ruggels, todays 'kids' would go crying on Twitter and Tumblr that Artist X was being mean to their character and that artist needs to be cancelled!!!
I can't show half of the old Barr wars stuff I got cause I know some certain folks on the WOKE/SJW community here would have an utter meltdown at what was being done or said. And the funny thing was back then the artists on the receiving end would fire back and not bitch about it. And the female artists were often the most brutal in replies.

Far too true.
Those on the receiving end often gave as good as, often better, than they got. While everyone defended their characters, often with more jests and classic cartoon level violence, no one took it personally or tried to make a real life comparison. I was mainly of the financial side - helping pay for photocopies/postage, and a few minor zaps, but it was clearly all in fun. I doubt we'll ever see the like again, too many thin skins and artists who take themselves too seriously.
