With lightspeed, the other hand of the monster moved closer and grabbed Liz. She screamed as the giant fingers picked her up and tossed her into the air. Karen stared in disbelief as her friend was flung straight into the creature’s mouth. She wanted to scream as well but no sound would leave her throat. She wanted to look away, but just couldn’t. Liz kept screaming for a few more moments until her voice muffled and then disappeared. Instead, there was just an audible gulp as the monster swallowed down her friend.
Karen took a look at the huge throat, then she gazed at its belly with the sinister realization that her friend was now trapped in there just waiting to be digested. They were just food, weren’t they?
