Once my body has fully become my own I take a deep breath and spit out a little bit of fire, knowing that he’ll likely just take a back seat for the time being. No clue if he’ll go completely dormant or not. I imagine he’ll be paying attention until he at least figures out what we’ll be doing. Having finished putting away all his clothing Maria comes back with my harness, her ball likely already in one of the pockets. I gingerly step into it, taking note that she too has decided to wear a harness of sorts. Doesn’t have the large pockets that mine does and based on how much thicker it seems to be in the chest area I’m guessing it’s more for warmth or comfort. Probably also serves to hold her medal close to her body under exercise without having to worry about it bouncing around with every step or getting snagged.

“So we meet again,” I wink.

“I know, right? It’s like I haven’t seen you for almost a month. So how you been?”

I look down, “I’m doing well enough, probably going to need a new harness soon, especially if you intend on me going through that again in the near future.”

“Hey, that wasn’t entirely my fault. I didn’t think he’d take it so personally that he’d blow himself up over it.”
