And unfortunately it does seem that they are successful in that regard as I watch as our strategy to flank them backfires on us as we allow ourselves to be pushed further and further away from each other. I probably could force us back together but for the most part I’m fine with this arrangement for now. And in the end it’s not like we’re likely getting out of this anyway. Strategically speaking it’s a sound choice on their end but not the best. The best strategy would be to figure out which of us is weaker, then throw their strongest pokemon against that one and then have the other three gang up on the other. And most importantly it doesn’t change the fact that they still don’t know how to coordinate their attacks to make them more effective. So all I have to do is make sure to stay on the defensive and exploit their openings. And the fact I have a lot of long-range options is really good for me. In that regard I’m kind of glad that I get to be a small, quick pokemon rather than something big and bulky. That might be more intimidating, but probably wouldn’t do nearly as well in a marathon like this.
