Thankfully, it’s clear that even the other two pokemon brought in are not anywhere close to being on our level. Most of our attacks tend to hit while the only ones they ever manage to hit are against themselves. And it is heartening to see that there is some hope to being able to make it through this, but it still feels almost like there is an endless supply of pokemon to be dealing with. Though admittedly that is in part because I’m focusing one then the other. As soon as one of my two fall I switch and focus on the other one. Which means that I won’t see any relief until I’ve exhausted all of one side’s pokemon. And when I look over I can see that Maria has taken a very different strategy and is focusing on trying to eliminate one of the threats quickly to make the matchup more favorable, to turn a four against two into a three against two. Granted it doesn’t hurt that that she can simply float out of the way of the Graveler’s attacks and pretty much ignore him completely. And though her strategy is sound, I question whether or not it’s smart in the grand scheme of things.
