It really pains me to be in this position. I know Maria’s exhausted. I know she’s hurting quite a bit now since she can’t dodge like I can. And there’s nothing I can do but see her take on the rest of that trainer’s pokemon all by herself. And sometimes even more than that as whenever one of the Rocket members gets the notion to try and flee, Lumen dashes away to herd them off, even going so far as to actually pick up the meowth and throw them back at the other Rocket members. But thankfully, that Palossand was from one of the people I was fighting, meaning the other one goes down quickly enough. And the compulsion is still there but no stronger than before. My body is still just running along the air trying to close the distance.

“You know,” the Chesnaught half jokes, “it would be really nice if I could use you as like a portable flamethrower. Just give you a shake and flames come out. But I’m guessing you lack the control for that right now.”

I want to help, but simply cannot. I even try his suggestion and find I have no control even over my inner furnace. But it’s now a two against one fight. Seeing no chance of beating the odds the Rocket member throws another Override ball at me, hoping to at least avoid the curse but Maria blows that one up with a blast of psychic energy. And another moment of me helplessly watching the fight until the last pokemon goes down. After a moment of no more coming out, the Chesnaught opens his arms wide.

“All right, off you go.”

And before I can react I find my teeth wrapped around one of them, but as I let go I notice that I had already bitten all three.
