Once we are all situated I just start walking away from the battle, mostly to just put that further and further behind us. I’m sure he’s going to probably chew me out a bit after all is said and done now that we’re safe but if given the choice, knowing the full risks I would have done it again. And I did get some more information about this condition I have, even though I half wish I could have interrogated the Rocket members a bit more on that, see what all else I can learn. Ah well.
“So where to now?” Maria asks.
“I don’t know, burger?” I shrug, slightly changing my course to head towards the city. That one restaurant should still be open for at least a little while longer.
“Sure, burgers sound fine.”
“Just promise me that if we see any more trainers that you won’t be pushing me into their path.”
“I promise,” she says quickly, her hand moving over to her medal. “No more fighting for tonight.”
I smile weakly and keep walking. What I am is no real secret at the moment. Lumen proved as such, as did those Rocket members. The Chesnaught knew to grab me when the compulsion took over, even though he wasn’t there to see when it triggered against that girl. The Rocket members mentioned not being allowed to hunt “them” meaning I’m not the only one She has done that experiment on, which I suppose is to be expected. But I don’t know how many more are there. Just how common is my condition currently? And just how dangerous would it be for us to go after these answers?

Well, technically? When they're in their pokemon form they are 100% pokemon in every regard. Meaning, that if our little vulpix friend here were to use a fire stone they would indeed evolve into a ninetales. However, they are a werepix, not a weretales. So the next time they transform they'll be back to being a vulpix. Though the ones that don't require items to evolve may eventually be able to learn how to trigger their evolutions right after finishing their transformation, but they'd still transform first into their base form.
