I find it quite amusing to think of how various little phrases would arise from different races, like how for a kitsune, they probably wouldn't measure time in years so much as how much of a new tail they'd get. So fifty years would be considered to be half a tail-length rather than half a century.

And another thing to think about is the standard thing with stories in the future that what we would consider recent or even futuristic to us would be considered ancient history to them. I haven't really set an exact year this takes place because I don't feel I need to. That said, we know for a fact that it's at least 500 years after we colonize mars (since Anon is 486 and she was raised on Mars). Head canon for me is about 700 years into the future. But that would still mean a sculpture made in the year 2222 would be seen as about as recent for them as the painting of the Sistine Chapel is for us.
