“Well, thank you for letting me know,” I say as Maria puts the information into one of my two pockets. “I think it’s time we head back towards the more crowded areas.”

“It all right if I hang out with you guys for a while? This isn’t exactly the place for a solitary pokemon and there may be some other things I may ask to see if it’s something particular to me or our condition.”

“Sure, I don’t mind,” I shrug and start walking back to the path.

It is certainly a lot to take in. Benny mostly looks concerned and Maria almost looks as distant as I do right now. I suppose it was too much of wishful thinking that if I held back the curse wouldn’t spread. To learn that she’s been doing this, giving people this condition every month. Personally, I wouldn’t mind a more equal share, but there are still so many issues with this state, particularly in the loss of control in certain areas. It might be worth it to actually go on the offensive for once and try to put an end to all of this. And of course to add to things there’s the other complicating issue, that the city knows who I am specifically and are hiding me. And I have no idea what to think about that revelation.
