See, you thought you wopuld NEVER get the pond or anything done this year...looks like it is coming along well!

it was my constant crying and complaining that probably got people to help me. as it is while it is getting done nothing was done soon enough for me to be able to do much with it this year. like the planting boxes. those did not get done quick enough for me to work the soil right before i could plant anything. and it is too late to plant most anything. but they should be around nicely next year. and also i noted that it was when i gave up that they would happen that they finally happened

I like elephant ear plants

these are a relative of them that are smaller called taro. which is a "mountain potato" in japan. I would grow the HUGE ONES but my mate has this weird phobia of large leaved plants and sunflowers that tower over him.

Oh, I do believe they use that stuff in some bubble tea ingredient.

OH lordy now I crave bubble tea. There isn't any nearby :o
