Here is kind of an unhappy but necessary repair.
When the guy used the needle file to scallop these originally, he was of course going against the grain wich has a tendency to tear out wood fibers. So, there were little pock maks in the fret board in a lot of places. Normally the solution would be to sand down to them but as I mentioned before some of these were as low as they were going without seeing the side dots through the top of the fretboard. Not to mention, this guy wanted these to all look consistant. Instead, I cleaned them with naptha and drop filled them with medium viscosity super glue. These fills wil be visible but they will look 10x better than those pockmarks. I used a razor blade to scrape off the excess super glue and then continued sanding with 320g.
