Even better, you're good enough to have people to ask you to do it! I've fooled around on a few scalloped boards; they're tough.

A real one sure! I just dont like working on those off brand knockoffs. they usually don't work as well.

As for why? You would have to ask someone who has one.

Haha, we have something in common, I dun' like using 'em! Just something off about the knockoff bridges that doesn't feel right. They're not as smooth on dives, and tend to fall apart fast.

Yea, might have to. I know Yngwie Malmsteen uses 'em, and in interviews he mentions it's harder to use. Why make it harder on yourself?..Suppose you could get some crazy vibrato pushing down real hard on the string, maybe.

What's the advantage/disadvantage of scalloped frets, AJ?

I've been curious about scalloped fretboards. I've yet to even see what in person and i really wanna try. I guess i ask the same as another, is there an advantage/disadvantage?
