A/N: I simply couldn’t resist adapting in my favorite Daring Do comic. You had to have known a wall trap was going to come up eventually in a story like this. There’s just no way I couldn’t include it. In fact, most of this story is inspired by and based on that comic.
As for the mural scene, I know the “permanency angle” isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but in a story like this that’s packed full of cartoon fetishes, I simply couldn’t resist fully using it at least once. I elected to try and have my cake and eat it too by including that hallucination thing to make it ambiguous. For those who dislike the idea, Tenuia caused Daring to hallucinate the mare was real to mess with her and for those who do like the idea, Tenuia did the opposite and made Daring hallucinate she was a painting, so Daring wouldn’t try and rescue her or the others.
For those who still aren’t satisfied by that, there is one more cope at the end of the story that might help a little.
Next time, Daring gets to really cool herself off after all flattening shenanigans, but she might loose some face while she’s at it.
