*insert sentence full of hard-boiled noir-flavored witticisms here*
A new character of mine, name pending as soon as I find something suitably badass (I'll take suggestions, people! And no Biff McManmeat). A detective in the big city back int he 40s, who deals with all manner of society's underbelly (not all of it quite... of this realm). Yes, I'm still trying to get a timeline going for my main character and his family history, and dammit all if this dude won't factor in as well.
A finely atmospheric commission from
MoodyFerret, that I have seriously been sitting on for weeks. Feels good to finally get it out.

HOWEVER, this dude is badass. He requires a theme!

I think it sounds very mysterious, with a dash of Noir-y condensed male angst.
I'll think of something. It's just a matter of getting one just far enough from a Gary Stu name. Something in the realm of OC Character for Dark City... yeah, that's the name area I gotta be in, that's the sweet spot 8)
Diggin' the tunes, too, very nice.
Alec Danbury. that would be nice... almost a tad too british though...
I'm a fan of Deacon (though I can't figure out exactly if that's a first name or last). I'm also trying very, very hard not to give the first name Jack, because dammit, that's just too easy.
Love noir detectives.
