STRONG is a comic collaboration between myself and
Myenia, done for the 24/24 comic challenge. The challenge is to create a 24-page-long comic in 24 hours. I began at 6 PM EST on 10/19/12, and ended at 6 PM EST on 10/20/12. Myenia began one hour later than me, beginning and ending at 7 PM EST.
Each page of this comic was done in approximately an hour. There was no prep work, no script, and doing any kind of layout ahead of time was not allowed. It was thumbnailed, drawn, and written on the fly, for 24 hours straight. Myenia and I kept in contact via instant messenger and phone to collaborate on details. I handled writing and linework, she did the beautiful color.
This was easily the most enduring, stressful, and physically taxing artistic trial of my life, but it was a HELL of an experience! I hope y'all enjoy it.

Wow...this project seems impossible, but you gals pulled it off. I might be able to turn out one of these pages in like ten hours and it would still look wonky and weird. You might see these pages as rough, but I tell you, I'd be damn proud to put out a finished project that looks like this in ten times the amount of time it took you guys. Of course I suck at drawing...but yeah. You chix are mad talented...srsly.
The colouring of this page by Myenia, was well worth waiting for. Again, congratulations to both of you. You truly are heroes among webcomic artists. The story was inspiring and emotional, and I could really feel for these characters by way of their amazing facial expressions. Now you truly deserve a good night's rest. Rest easy heroes, Cinder and Ember too
Congratulations! it was a real nice story. Quick question though, what does Ember mean by "provided you share your strength with me"? is it maybe she wants Cinder to be her mate or a friend you can count on? I won't force anyone to reply to my silly question. Anyways, both of you really deserves a nice long rest.
I'd say that's up to the reader. The bond between the two characters is obvious, but it's not blatantly romantic. We wanted the comic to be PG-rated, at most, and not a romance story, but a story of collaboration, and trust.

Beautifully done. Even thought I know you had to rush I loved the art style. I really set the story.

My boyfriend was looking at me strangely as I was clicking this wall of images in my feed. I explained to him about the challenge. "That's INSANE." Then I showed him one of the actual pages so he could see the detail. "That's REALLY insane."
I thought his eyebrows were going to fly right off his head. XD
But I have to agree, that's just crazy you got something this amazing out of 24 hours. Just wow.

That being said, it's an awesome comic to boot! You guys did a splendid job on the whole thing. I really enjoyed it! "The Maw" was amazing, really clear story and everything. I'd love to see more artists try this! You guys must be pooped. Go get some sleep for me hun!

I think also that you should try to get this published in one of the furry fanzines if at all possible. This was just great!
And if you get it published, the publishing company will probably want it lengthened. And I'll want to buy it!
I'd Favourite this entire series right here as it is, but it would take up so much room in my Favourites Gallery, which is already quite large.... I'll just look at it in your own Gallery very often instead! Consider the entire series Favourited by me!

This is very much like NaNoWriMo in which participants write a 50,000-word novel in 30 days each November. In fact, i'll be participating in that, starting in only a few weeks. I know from my own experiences how exhausting this type of challenge can be. And how rewarding. :)

Amazing story Rukis! I absolutely loved the twist, very creative and unexpected, and I like it even more that she was who she was, girls are so so strong and this showed that <3 Fantastic job! I just had to go through each one just to fave them all, it was an amazingly made comic ^^
