It is complicated... but oft times there will be needs in a story like this for non anthro animals. Rukis may well have actual anthro equine as well. But for the period and setting and Luthers character, some kind of steed/mount fits in well.

He's gotten over the hate of the sexuality. It's the normal "I understand bonking whores keeps your marriage together but that does not mean I have to give it my approval stamp". He did the same thing for the father in law, and he bonked women (not to mention his wife was insane and had various other problems that made it unethical to have sex with her).
That and you know, going out drinking an whoring the night before an Officers meeting is going to be frowned on regardless.

I really do love how the horse turned out. The way you've shaped the muzzle, I can see the movement of that upper lip nudging at Luther's hand for attention and treats. That was always the greatest thing to me with horses. :) Less so when they steal things out of your pocket, granted... LOL
