Here's the tab of the last original song I released, last December - The Truth. It's been finished for a while, but Powweb managed to get their password hashes stolen or something and it coincided with a weekend that the man who represents the entire US Clickteam marketing division was at a convention, so I had to wait until he could reset my password.
I've left out the string/chord background in this because I ran out of channels (the acoustic intro took up more of them than usual, and I was shoving different scores on to the same channels wherever possible near the end of writing this out) - and also because I don't think it really needs it in its MIDI form. To be frank there aren't really a lot of guitars in this one either, apart from the rhythm section - just a couple of flourishes and the instrumental in the middle.
Perhaps because of a badly chosen starting octave, this gets up to fret 24, with some sweeping across 20-23. I'm not sure if this pushes the limits of physical possibility or not.
Lyrics
People will all look to me when the world lies on their shoulders
Throughout all their lives they've known that they can't be open and free
Every last one of these hearts have something they have kept secret
Their minds full of guilt, they'll never be able to know themselves
I can see through your mind if you'll let me
Tell me now the name that you were born
It's the first step to looking through your hidden mind
And the secret to knowing who you are
After you're over your fear and you've learned that you can trust me
The memories pour out, I follow the water of time back again
There is no need to fight back to the world, because I will listen
There's always an origin that we'll find somewhere in the past
I'm just a man - but I have a vision
Something I taught myself through years in darkness
Let me come close - open your mind, receive my own
And I'll dive deep into your scattered, shattered memories
Will you walk with me
Through the corridor of time
To find forgotten pieces in
The corners of your mind
I can see myself in you
I can look out through your eyes
We'll unlock this twisted miracle
Together we'll find the truth
Each mind is a story that I can read through all your memories
Another one starts, another life woven in front of my eyes
With each new mind to explore, I see things that look so familiar
I'm finding myself through you, your desires reflected in me
I can see your evolution
Every joy and fear, each passion and poison
As the past becomes clear again, you'll see it too
And together we'll walk through years of broken memories
Will you walk with me
Through the gallery of time
To find forgotten pieces in
The corners of your mind
I can see myself in you
I can look out through your eyes
We'll unlock this twisted miracle
Together we'll find the truth
Try to remember all that you've heard
Through all your memories I hope to find myself
Don't be afraid now, open your past
Then I can give you peace of mind at last
The answers at last
Will you follow me
Through the labyrinth of time
To find forgotten pieces in
The path that made your life
I can see myself in you
I can look out through your eyes
And I hope you'll do the same for me
Together - forever
I grant you the greatest gift of all
You'll know me when you find the truth

This is no less than amazing.
I am, however, confused. Is this a remake of the original track ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1780439/ )? Or just a reposting? I suppose I don't understand what you mean by "tab".

Well - it's sort of both. This submission's mostly for the link at the top of the description, to a ZIP with the MIDI and the tablature file for the music - the score for guitarists. The file that actually plays here is is a repost of the original submission, because FA's MIDI playback just plain doesn't work, and I have the choice between pointlessly recording the MIDI version to MP3, or just uploading the original MP3 again. (I suppose I could ask if there's a chance that the on-page MIDI playback could be fixed, too...)
Nevertheless, I'm glad you enjoyed it - thanks for saying :)

They could also compare against the file type before the player's even invoked (as they have the link to its download on the same page) and use an alternative player for MIDI files... though it's difficult to say how easy simple-sounding things are without knowing about the back end of it. It took us about a week at work to change our webapp's team entry form to a different layout, though admittedly that was mostly due to IE's oddities.
oh nice, it's cool to see some tab for this
my favorite part is the bridge before the solo section, (i was a little disappointed it ended so fast, lol) and the lead harmonies in the solos are very well done. i really dig the keyboard parts too
and for the sweep picking section as mentioned (bars 184-185), it's possible but not very practical as far as the fingerings go (also MUCH more difficult)
i would instead pull-off from the C to the G on the high E string, then pick the E on the next string.. the same type of pattern would apply for the second bar. that part reminds me of ride the lightning
the solo is pretty nice and melodic, which is great. if i were playing it i would add a few embellishments here and there

Excellent stuff - thanks a lot for the commentary and suggestions. I played about with the fingering in the sweep section as you suggested and it immediately looked like it made a lot more sense, so I've updated the ZIP accordingly.
Shockingly I've never heard Ride the Lightning - I'll have to hunt it down on Youtube to see what you mean!
(I forgot to Reply the first time - never go on FA first thing after waking up...)
