♔ Health Update, AnthroExpo and 2022 Plans! ♔

Usually I don't talk about my health on my socials but this past January I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and ever since then I've been on a journey with my doctors (It took 7 months to get in with my current doc, new patient visits take longer to be seen apparently) to try to regulate my numbers. My A1c is down a full point so far but I have a long road ahead. I recently got over my fear of needles so I've been checking my sugars 2-3 times daily now and will be keeping a record of my meals/numbers for my doc going forward. So, lots going on there. I have been to the ER twice now for dehydration/Hyperglycemia when my medications have changed. The other day's visit ended with me getting my first dose of insulin and WOW. I felt amazing. Today I went back to feeling like my usual groggy self, here's an example from today:

AnthroExpo is 5 days away for us staff members, setup begins next Thursday afternoon so I'm getting last minute prep out of the way for that. (Meets, adopts/adopt for SISU, packing/badge etc.) I'm excited but I will be cautious while working/floating around on the con space. I'll be double masked and have hand sanitizer on my hip at all times, wearing gloves when helping with any task involving attendees! I want this to be a fun AND safe time for all, so we can do this again and again for years to come.
In other news--I placed my deposit for my first fursuit head earlier this month (https://twitter.com/SBGothik_Arts) and have an artist team that will be working on a vtuber avatar for me! (https://twitter.com/OrionisStudio) My head will possibly be ready by this fall-winter and I plan on debuting my avatar this summer on Twitch! Lots of big things in the works so I'm placing my health before all else I have to do. Some days I haven't felt like doing art/adopts because of my diabetes not being regulated yet, I am so thankful for everyone who watches me/shares my designs when I do put something out.
