covid (again)
soooo... it's easter weekend. a big bank holiday in the uk. i had plans to go to see friends and go to a market thing. super exciting right? especially after last week, where i had a bunch of medical emergencies that largely turned out to be false alarms. so my first ever bank holiday weekend off as an adult, and fun things ahead.
except i caught covid. again.
for people who don't follow me on twitter, i had covid in september last year when the delta variant was going round. so when i woke up on sunday morning with a sore throat i had a feeling of dread, and by monday it felt like it was full of glass. i took one of the rapid tests, and there it was. the double lines. and as the week's gone on i've gotten more unwell again. it's not been as bad as the last bout, but it's been absolutely brutal all the same. i had long covid, got an infection which resulted in losing three of my teeth, and have organ scarring from having the delta variant last year. having this omicron variant has worsened the breathing problems i had from the last bout of covid, and unfortunately i can't walk very far without being breathless. i've been given new inhaler instructions but it's still not great.
i'm so worn down. i took extremely bad reactions to two vaccines and the third wasn't easy either. i've now had covid twice. i have never been as ill in my life as i have over the past 12 months and it's exhausting.
