WoW will let you play DRAGONS in new Expac!!
Blizzard's next expansion pack will be Dragonflight.
And we will get to play an anthro dragon class/race.

I am feeling excited about the game for the first time in years.
Expac after expac, blizz has recycled the same boring, depressing shit that I have waded through, hoping things would get better.
Demons...Undead...booger monsters from uranus...nothing really felt new or interesting.
But I kept buying the expacs and playing, mostly out of habit, and for a way to kill time when doing other things.
Now I feel enthusiasm again!
Its been a long time coming.
Blizz?
Don't fuck it up.

FA+

...And I'm already tempted by the Worgen and Pandaren.
God damnit why doesn't Blizz create an animated movie using ThAT lvl of animation! It's on par with Rango from ILM quality wise.
Ah well. Maybe they will some day.
Wrathion an Kalecgos! WHEE!
I'm quite excited to see how this goes. And I'm with you that I hope they don't manage to screw this up.
dragon(Sandstone) drake flying mount which could carry another player. I'd do that, but the tiny levitating drake for 40% speed increase, drake for 100% and then an actual true dragon for 100%+Also, using the paid flight system would use your own Huge dragon form, which hides your player sprites, so you can enjoy free-flying as a huge dragon. The fight system could also use such huge sprites, but of course limited to not interrupt raid mechanics. Like summoning your own true dragon head for a screen-wide, cone shaped AOE breath attack, or dragon fist to give a One Punch to the boss, or stomp onto it, maybe a tail whip...and ONLY one of those you can use with a 5 min global cooldown, so it doesn't becomes too powerful. It would not just do %Hp-damage (so it both good in PvE and PvE) but do multiple different debuffs for 2-3 minutes and 1 CC for 2-5 seconds, so it would not just done for the damage but for applying all those debuffs as well. Seeing a quick (1-2 seconds long) animation of a huge dragon bodypart in every 5 minute is tolerable raid and PvP wise, while also giving the "I am a dragon, in your face!" effect. Not too OP but still has to feel like that even for short!
And they could do environment shifts (introduced in WotLK, i think.) like if doing 5-man dungeon a player is TRANSFORMED/RACESWAPPED into their Dragon-counterpart by a Dragon-NPC (As in the Caverns of Time - Culling of Stratholme event) in the end of the dungeon, where a big rock needs to be pushed away from the exit/reward, (or against a cave entrance) while others protecting the dragon from a swarm of enemies and assisting it's progress! This way, the dragon form could do a quick event, and give a feeling to every player, and other feel dwarfed by the huge dragon model...Could even do the transform/race swap for all player and defeat a non too difficult mini boss, so they can all enjoy being dragon-players...also a hook to make such a toon.
Lots of possibilities, to make the new dragon race feel 'epic and a must do'! Lets hope it will rock!
From what I've seen so far, the models for the drac'thyr are unique; different leg proportions from anything done before in game, plus a few more differences.
They definitely "feel" new.
The main thing I am seeing and feeling is a large difference in the "flavor" of the game universe.
Thus far, I am seeing/feeling a much more upbeat, optimistic world than the last several expacs.
The intensely depressing atmosphere thats dominated WoW for years is gone from the trailer.
And that is a big improvement in my opinion.

Not wanting to be a killjoy, so those who still enjoy playing WoW, I wish all the good with it. Anthro dragons will surely be a hit with those who like to imagine/RP their toon, while enjoying a possibly new game mechanic with the new race. I hope it will rock!
