What little I know of the Disney Canon, Jakku was the place of the last great battle of the war between the New Republic and the Empire.
Which is why there are crashed Star Destroyers.

The thought always made me laugh. The Republic had thousands of member worlds. In the Senate only the most influential planets had a seat. Other senators represented entire sectors. So there are more planets part of the Republic than we see seats in the Senate.

So even if we don't go by the Legends canon. the Empire must have had thousands upon thousands of ships (not all Star Destroyers). The thought that they put everything that was left into one battle and that the New Republic has build enough ships at that time to win is laughable. Not to mention that both sides would leave the worlds under their control/protection undefended.

I just wish they'd made the First Order into under-dogs, especially after losing to the New Republic with the loss of Starkiller.

And I still think the whole "No no these three planets are the entirety of the New Republic... even though that's irrational and stupid and in all likelyhood (especially for apperances sake) they'd take over Coruscant as the New Republic center of power (becusae Coruscant has been the "Center of Power' for as long as most beings can remember.

Yes, it did, because people will compare and contrast the history of our country versus that of other countries. All countries, continents, nations, locations, and cultures have a bloody and violent past, every flag has blood on it. People love to compare statistics, but ignore the difference in population. How many people live in the Unites States of America versus the United Kingdom? Don't you think that massive difference in population will sway the outcome of any statistic?

I do think our leadership has a direct impact on our economy, and the high inflation. We were dealing with high inflation before the war started, and it was steadily ticking up and up with no sign of dropping. I was already feeling the pain at the pump and at the grocery store before the war.

I did like the first two episodes but after the third one I can already see Kathleen’s woke influence corrupting it and I just can’t understand how our beloved Ewen can allow them to do that to his character and not state some issues or concerns over what they’re doing. I mean the grand inquisitor was only in two episodes and Luke was like in maybe a minute of the first one. And we’ll probably never see him ever again for the series. And it deeply sucks because I seriously was hoping this was going to be good and thought it was going to be okay at best after the first two but once I saw Kathleen’s name in the credits and can see a last Jedi repeat in episode 3 I’m already growing concerns. Even my own dad whose enjoyed SWs ever since it first came out can see the possibility of Kenobi’s character getting ruined just like they did with Luke and if even he can spot that then yeah I should have deep concerns now.

Agenda driven diversity is a thing. It used to be at one point that businesses were required ( and some still are) to have a minimum number of minority groups in their employ. These token employees did not have to have relevant skills or be capable of the jobs they were hired for. But if a business did not have them, they could be penalized or even shut down. Does not make sense. Not at all. This was an agenda. It forced diversity, regardless of outcome. Driven by the threat of punitive measures.

It was easy to see, that one of the major tasks for the creators was to build strong female characters and fit them into the story.

What happened was, that a story for female heroes was created and the star wars lore was bent around it somehow. (Of course the fact that characters were rather bland in general didn't help, but with 3 directors the story was just too much of a mess.)

The problems with people who have a strong agenda for something is that they are usually too fixated on their thing, that they simply tend not to care about consistency in an existing universe, especially when they had nothing to do with it before.

Best example was General Akbar, a veteran and iconic character from the other films, who died in the background in one scene, never to be mentioned again. If somebody was in charge, who really had some interest in this universe, this wouldn't have been possible.

But yeah, the reason for that disaster was feminism, paired with incompetent storytelling and the fact that none of the 3 directors had a plan, where this thing was going, only finishing their own movie and be done with it.

I have a complaint too. Allll these years and we haven't gotten a single shot of Alan turning into an L shaped hexagonal tungsten rod! Or chip flattening out and becoming ruffled. Why? Just why?

The fact Rey was able to learn force manipulation, instantly . Something even Luke had a hard time learning with just a passing thought was a just to freaking mary sue fer me.

There's so much that Star Wars fans ignored or tried to forgive because they really really WANTED to love the sequels.

The fact that the sequels are nearly universally hated shows how bad they really are if they were able to overcome the desire to love them so quickly and completely.

Yep, it was # 8. Watch it again ( sorry ) and notice that they set the race horses free, yet the child slaves are left behind. It was such an absolute WTF moment I wanted to bitchslap everyone involved in that crap.

And the continuity is also f*cked to shreds, since Obi Wan meeting/fighting Darth Vader (who is super chill for a Sith meeting the hated Jedi who made Him an asthmatic, amputee, cyborg cripple) sh!ts all over the Episode 4 meeting scene: "Obi Wan. Last time we met I was the apprentice, now I am the master." How to fix this? Bonk both of them on the head, or something, and gave both Obi Wan and Darth Vader some sort of short-term Force Amnesia...In dizni wars all kind of crazy thing can happen!

Reva? Angry Whamen good! Her anger is off the charts, but She doesn't have Sith/Dark side eyes, while all the other Inquisitors have it! The Grand Inquisitor was right there: She was the LEAST of them! So much anger...so disconnected from the dark side! Pathetic Joke of an Inquisitor! Also: Vader cut off limbs from each Inquisitor (save the leader G.I.) during training/testing them, to teach them a lesson...in LOSS! Each of them should clearly/visibly have a robotic/cybernetic prosthetic limb to show of their loss both in being a Jedi as well as the lost duel against Darth Vader! Reeeeeeeeeva is above all of this...also kills the G.I. because White Male is bad.

As far as I'm concerned Star Wars is 3 movies and a handful of amazing games like Jedi Outcast 2. I watched the prequels as a kid, and after 1 movie of the current movies I wrote everything that follows it off entirely because it was obviously gonna be woke nonsense from that point on.

Dismay,,, uh,,, 'Disney' (Yeah, those losers), haven't missed any opportunity to emasculate every male character in the Star Wars Universe, while promoting/shoveling this WOKE stupidity into the eager eyes, ears, and minds of those who enjoy it.
Meanwhile, those of us with a working pair of brain cells and who remember with great fondness the original trilogy (and let's be honest, Lucas didn't wipe his butt with the male characters in the FIRST three movies, either), can only peer at what Dismay, with all their $$$ and worldwide influence is doing.

Yeah... I didn't bother watching it, I didn't hate the force awakens upon my first viewing of the film until a friend made one simple comment, "It's basically the same plot of a new hope."

The Last Jedi killed the franchise for me... What they did to Luke... Making him bitter and cynical with little to no explanation. The other characters suffer from character regression not progression. It left me feeling disappointed and annoyed.

I've read better fanfiction on here, DeviantArt, and fanfiction.net.

And Kenobi's fine. He's not a coward; he's trying to do what's right when the situation doesn't seem to have a right answer. If he draws his laser sword and plays the hero everyone around him becomes a target and a potential hostage, and he still loses due to numbers. If he does nothing, then the villains continue to reign. That's the pathos and the realistic question of what you do when fascists take over your republic.

In short episode 4 just destroyed any hope there was left in the series may have had for the last three. Now it’s at the point of no return as it’s the worst so far of the series.

You choose to miss out on Darth Vader literally grabbing a launching spacecraft out of the air and slamming it back down on the ground. Escape Velocity thrust? Screw you I've got Dark Side Force.

There's a lot that people say about Obi Wan. However, I don't like the way they change things. Star Wars is fun to watch, even though it doesn't describe reality. (There's no such thing as the Force). I used to think that the Force is real, but it isn't so.

I didn't watch Kenobi, much. I saw the big bad black lady cut off a hand with a red lightsaber, and that's about it.

Not seen the newer movies but... I thought half the point of the Star Wars galaxy story setting was that pretty much it's a world of suck? And the force just makes them make even bigger f*** ups?

The idea that it was gender-bashing was... not my first impression. I guess I'd need to see the new stuff to make that judgement call. :/
