I felt that given my own artistic leanings, the first work I featured should highlight traditional medium. I'm not anti-digital, but hand-colored stuff always holds a special place in my heart. :D

This piece caught my eye for several reasons. First, it's well executed with bold, contrasting colors (something else I'm biased toward), and a great sense of motion.
Also, the fire effect is well done which is something that's difficult to capture w/ colored pencils/pastels (I'm guessing on the medium here).
The character has nicely detailed skin patterns and awesome looking eyes. And the whole piece has an excellent sense of focus.
Overall, a beautiful picture.
Enjoy!
