I've decided that due to my apparant inability to keep to any kind of regular schedule with these updates, I'm just going to replace the featured work on my page whenever I have a spare moment. Here is the latest one that caught my eye...

Here again, my bias toward traditional mediums...this time markers (a medium I admire but can't do myself).
One of the things I really enjoy about this pic is the clean, simple and eye catching color scheme. The red of the blanket contrasts with the mostly white character and the small bits of blue are an awesome accent. Adding just the right amount of color. The way the eyes are rendered shows beautiful depth and clarity and the golden color compliments the blue accents perfectly.
And of course, I can't ignore the pose. :D Foreshortening is always difficult to do (just ask
) but Longinius captures the playful, sexy essence of this pose extremely well.
Clean, simple colors, sexy pose, and great character expression make this a pic worth checking out!
