and busy, but largely satisfied.
Just got back from Kentucky wherein I was hosted by the ever gracious folks over at Shadow Alley Press, who - for reasons of their own - always invite me to their yearly do. I think maybe it's just because they like the way I mix drinks. Had a great time AND managed to finish what will be my very first mainline sword and sorcery book, which I am putting out under a pen name.
Nervous as hell about that because it could bomb completely (I'm not telling the bulk of my audience about it so as not to ruin the also-bought listings) it could do mediocre, in which case I have to do a lot of math to figure out if it's worth continuing or if I should leave my focus on Cebelius books, or it could COMPLETELY explode, in which case I'll have fuck-you money but will still have to balance my work there and as Cebelius, because I will neither forget who gave me the life I have, nor lose my love of monster girls. Only thing I'm NOT worried about with that book is the cover, which was done by
Naira
It's fantastic, and she's an absolute joy to work with.
When it rains it pours though. The fantasy book is being reviewed by the beta readers AND in the hands of the editor. I have to turn that around and hand it over to the narrators by the 20th of this month because I'm going for a simultaneous release on this one.
While that's going on, ANOTHER set of narrators I work with just submitted the first draft of Would You Love a Monster Girl 3 audio (Grace) which i have to review for errors and turn around to them, the faster the better.
All that while I'm packing up the van for a trip over to Washington state to spend some time with mom. I've been living in Montana for most of the summer and it's beautiful up here. There are three Vizsla's living on the ranch I've been staying at, so Gigi, who is a Weimaraner for those of you who've not met her, is having a marvelous time. She's gotten lots of off-leash training and is getting really good at fetch. High ball drive ... honestly probably the best dog I've ever owned. She's been well-socialized (and for that I take a bow) and she gets me out on hikes every day, which is good for both my physical and mental health.
If this new book does well in the mainstream markets I'll look at picking up a property either here in Montana or down in South Dakota so I can bounce between the two when it's too hot in Texas or too cold up here.
So life is mostly good, just really busy. Hoping the second half of this year is more productive, but we shall see. I hope all of you are doing well and thank you again for reading my stuff. Cebelius got his start right here on FA, and I'll never forget it.

FA+

as a fan, I'm going to pick up whatever you write. Sure Sure I have my preferences *cough* t.a.p and mountain king *cough* but if nothing else I WILL get it... eventually.
I had put off on TAP till book three was out, because well, BILLS. sorry. but I am Not Sorry I got into it. T.A.P. is Good.
I'm not really big on the graphic sex scenes, but I like when they are done well. so for tap, there's less sex, more flirting, and more room for other details.
also... I kinda want Mace-Man to kiss my work truck so she can heal up, and maybe... never mind. I'm being stupid and lonely.
Anyway, Good to hear that you are good. *thumbs up*
Holy Mother of Monster-Girls, C-Man!! You are a tough man to find on the internets, my friend!
Countless Google Searches later, and this is the most up to date appearance that you’ve made on anything! And, it’s two weeks old…!? LoL
First & foremost, that’s great news! I hope you have as much success in the vanilla Fantasy genre as you have in this one!
Been reading your work since early this year and I’ve made it through most of it at this point! In the spirit of that “sprint-to-the-end” mentality, any insight into the delay in production/release of the Audible/WhisperSync companions to your most recent Kindle publications?
Had to ask, but good to hear that you’ve been working on other projects! You’re already an amazing author in your own right, and we’ve seen the growth in your capabilities from your first books up to the present. Good on you, bro!
Happy Thoughts & Good Wishes!
(Enjoy the time you get to spend with the new Pupper!)
-Laters!
As for the well-wishes, thanks kindly. If this new fantasy thing does go well, my releases under this pen name will diminish somewhat, and I'm already slow as the hour before Christmas morning as far as indie authors go, but I'll keep on it.
I also have a discord if you need to be absolutely up to date. I check in there most days.
This link will last a week:

Are you going to at least let us know what the name of the series is after enough "normal" people have read/reviewed it so that your current fanbase reading it won't throw off the algorithm you're attempting to game?
One thing an entertainer has to understand is who he's entertaining. Different audiences have different expectations, and the audience I'm playing to has overlap, but is very much NOT the same.
