Pupdate (update on my sick dog)
First things first, I want to thank everyone who helped me raise money for our dogs medical journey.
Last I posted, I was trying to raise money for my dog to have his cancer lump removed. However, it is just not a viable option. Just for a proper biopsy is anywhere from 800-1200, and that's not the surgery, which could be anywhere between 3000-8000, and it's no guarantees of getting the whole mass, plus there's the whole recovery time and possibitiy of other surgeries or chemo, which... As some of you may know, over the last 5 years, I watched my fathers journey with Cancer... And he still passed away.
I've had a lot to think about regarding this whole situation, and after talking to a bunch of family members and animal caretakers, we decided against surgery, and to use the money I made to keep him comfortable and give him a nice send off when that time comes.
He has been getting worse these last 3 weeks, and I now have quite a few medications for him to keep him comfortable.
It's seeming that our time to say goodbye is comming faster than we thought... And it really has me in a bad downward spiral... But since I had brought this matter online, and a bunch of you sweethearts have helped to this cause, I figured I'd give an update.
Sy is sleeping pretty much all day, and shivers when he is awake, it's a fight to get him to eat, so he is now fully on soft food, since it's what i can get him to eat. He's getting Lotsa attention, and Ive been carrying him up the stairs and outside for potty breaks. He used to love lots of attention, but he doesn't really like being touched at all these last few weeks...
But we will see how the medication helps.
Thank you all so much for reading, and being so kind <3 love you all.
