In my senior high school English class, we were assigned to read "The Pardoner's Tale", but I thought the teacher said "The Summoner's Tale". The tale is about a crooked friar who visits a peasant's house, and the wife complains about her husband being angry. The friar goes to the husband in his bed, and gives him a long moral lecture and asks for money. The husband says he has a special gift for him concealed beneath his buttocks. The friar gropes down there and the husband blows a huge fart into the friar's hand. Of course this makes the friar angry.
