I got back from Norway last night and things went exceedingly better than I had thought.  ~LatexNeko~ is now my semi-official rubber sister, and I her rubber brother. We both held back the tears when we departed at the terminal at Gardermoen, but I admitted to crying while waiting at the gate for my plane.

This was the absolute highest point of my life, and I was sad to leave some of my heart behind. But I am grateful for it. I have never felt so loved like I was by my friends abroad, who treated me like family right off the bat and made me feel like I belonged there.

That's the biggest takeaway for me. Maybe I sound too headstrong, but twenty-eight years of living in the United States was outdone by one week in Norway. I felt more at home and loved by people there than I ever have in Kentucky, or anywhere else I've been in the United States. I'd immigrate there one day if I could. I finally got to participate in fetish photoshooting without much fear of mockery by others, go to a fetish club where we danced the night away in our catsuits, and observed all sorts of kinky playtime. All the while I had a loving sister who had my back no matter what, who took me in as a semi-official member of her poly group.

I don't know what the song was but it was playing on Latex Neko's bluetooth speaker during our final shoot on Saturday night and it triggered my crying..... It was so beautiful but seemed so crushing at the same time as I looked out the window and night was falling outside, knowing our time was almost done.

It's bittersweet. But I wouldn't have traded the experience for anything. It was life changing, and possibly even a gateway into something greater, if I were to ever move away to this place that seemed more like home than Kentucky. Naturally, much would need to be taken care of back in the USA before such a big step, but I would heavily consider it in the distant future.
