Yup. Goes to show how low people's opinion of them tends to be when they have to make rules like that let alone rules that the administrators themselves must respected even as they make bad decisions. They behave like the people they claim to be against right down to bending the rules on a whim when their own collective bias gets in the way of the group's objectivity. Shows in their actions.
mmhmm. If you know your decisions are going to be so unpopular that you have to shut down discussion of them just to keep the site from descending into chaos... well, I will simply leave this thought in case any of them are watching. Do you really want to continue serving a community you feel is hostile to everything you do?
Yup. Bad enough to where they hide behind anonymity on top of it with exception to Dragoneer. But he thinks he is shouldering burdens for the community rather than being more or less the cause of the vast majority of problems that exist on this site. Shame. The largest furry website is absolutely in the hands of the wrong people, not something I wanna say at all but given the entirety of the site's history since its been in their hands... its maintained a very low bar. But like the cesspool that is Twitter... we are still here cuz it is the larges option of its kind.
Allow me to make clear, for the record, I do feel they deserve respect for the work they do. I'm sure they work very hard to keep this place running; that they feel they should be acknowledged for this, and indeed, they should. It is a service the entire fandom finds valuable. Otherwise why would we all use it?
However, they also need to recall that the site belongs to the users as well. After all... if they didn't have anyone using the site, it wouldn't be worth anything. And there are other options.
So that's why I ask. If any of them feel like nobody appreciates them regardless of what they do... why continue to put all that work in? At worst, we'll find another site if this one isn't being maintained. The need won't remain unfulfilled. And they can rest easy, knowing they did their part. Better to quit while you're ahead, right?
I agree credit is due where its due. But for me well.. the number of cons to pros of site administration kinda nullify it. The problem is in spite of several mass exoduses FA has faced since the head honcho took control years ago bears no fruit.
So with the traffic reliable and nothing looks to be changing that anytime soon, they can still behave more like Patreon's trust and safety team than a team of community volunteers who cannot take criticism as noted by the attitude of the ones who responded on the forum post, one even going to the point of expressing violent desires against OP because they did not like his counter arguments.
Ironic since I don't doubt if I had said anything of the sort I would have been straight up banned; thus the other issue thats popped up now and again... double standards. They have earned the ire they face but power is very hard for some to give up even when they are miserable in their position.
FA, in my opinion, needs to be a community owned and operated site for it to function properly as one without the drama the admin team tends to create. If that were allowed to happen before the IMVU buyout I suspect this site would already have long since become a modern one with a non-controversial admin team because there would be more transparency and less of the unprofessional behavior when criticized.
Really? OvO I don't know if I read every word but I thought they simply pointed out how someone's fursuit account's pictures were getting removed. Sure it's in their policy but it's not such a big deal if someone complains right? Especially if his photos left some middle ground for people to think if they were okay or not. And I don't remember you sounding too harsh about the admins either. :O
Maybe my memory's off, but that sure would be weird if a little justified complaint was something they wanted to remove... I can't imagine no one else is bothered by the rule change. That's weird and shady if the staff is actually deleting journals because of a little criticism... nvn;
I had all my SL work deleted half decade ago by a writter admin. Later the 3D admin said I could post but they never returned my post so. I just gave up about FA a long time ago.
Even stop to create in SL too because other reasons.

What happened to Smoki was comepltely unfair
But until the fa admins are replaced with people who don’t have their heads up their own butts, this issue will contiue for people
It’s unfair, but like politics, it rarely gets sorted out

Real talk though, kinda shifty they'd just start sweeping people calling them out under the rag.
