Interesting Bear Facts: My Liking For Wolf O'Donnell
3 years ago
Seeing how I have a journal series called Personal Bear Thoughts, thought it would be fun to start a new journal series titled Interesting Bear Facts. With this journal series, I'll be talking about some cool fun facts that people didn't know about, knew from the beginning, heard about but didn't know the full context, etc. To kick things off, time to talk about the guy that everyone knows that I simp for: Wolf O'Donnell from the Star Fox video game series.
If you've heard of me, most likely you know how much I like Wolf always getting commissions with him. Even though I do have a crush on him, I never did explain why I like him so much. So this will be the perfect opportunity to explain it all (bonus points if you got that reference). Before joining the fandom, I was vaguely familiar with Wolf as I first heard about him from Super Smash Bros Brawl which came out while I was in high school. I haven't played a Star Fox game before but wanted to learn more about the series after playing Super Smash Bros Melee. I did try a demo of Star Fox 64 as it was featured as one of the Masterpieces in Brawl. Fast forward years later Super Smash Bros for Nintendo 3DS & Wii U came out and Wolf was absent in the game where only Fox and Falco were present. I was still interested in wanting to play a Star Fox game and I did get Star Fox Zero for the Wii U, I didn't play much but was interested in it. Around that time I've been watching some videos on YouTube showcasing different games where I did get to learn a little more about the series along with studying the personalities of the characters. When Super Smash Bros Ultimate came out, I recently discovered the furry fandom and star a lot of Star Fox artwork from some talented artists where everyone was making a big deal about Wolf making a return. It was then when I saw some artwork of him fat as a cool theory of what Wolf has been up to since he wasn't in the last game. After my first commission with the space pirate, I've been getting more and the rest is history.
As for Wolf himself, I know that a lot of wolves are wicked popular in this community where people simp for the next wolf character that's announced, don't understand the popularity but even I was affected by simping on Wolf. To me, I see that Wolf is a misunderstood bad boy. Sure he does aid Andross and tries to stop Fox and his team but there are times when Wolf is a hero helping Fox as seen in Star Fox: Assault. He's very mysterious and no one knows his true motives but there's indeed a soft spot inside when one gets to know him. With every commission that I've gotten with Wolf, I can see that he and Beary are head over paws for each other sharing an unbreakable bond and being there for one another. As for why he's always fat in the commissions, I find him very attractive with a big belly as there's more of him to love and admire. The way I see it, he's been putting on love weight since dating the blue bear where he cared about being fit and muscular but now he's okay with being fat as it took him a while to adjust to at first but eventually accepted his fat body seeing that he doesn't cover up his belly wanting it to be exposed.
As for how Beary and Wolf first met, that's something that I've been working on for a long time. Because I commission so many different talented artists, there are always possible different scenarios of their first interactions with one another. Some include Beary going on a mission to take down Wolf but developing feelings for him or maybe the two met at a bar somewhere, nothing is finalized but I'm open to any theories you all might have. Hope you all enjoyed this session about the leader of Star Wolf, everyone knows how much I like him but felt like it was time to give a full explanation about why I do like him so much.
