FA got greedy. Size limit behind a paywall !!!
Oh no you are blowing up!
This really pisses me off, we were promised a upload size limit increase! Never mentioned it would be behind a god damn paywal
Like this is some discord bull shit a size limit should not be behind a god damn paywall!
I’m really pissed off and of course they only thing on the site they will fix is the simple trick of uploading bigger files!
I’m sure mass spam uploads of dead people will still happen but don’t worry we fixed the one glitch people like!!

FA+

We’ve also nearly doubled our default resolution for all standard uploads! Regular users will be able natively post up to QHD resolution (3.7 megapixels, 2k,1440p, 2650x1440) and FA+ users net an additional upload limit to UHD (4k, 2160p, 8.3Mpix, 3840x2160)."
and judging from some of your past uploads, it's as if you did the exploit pre-update
The limit was increased from 1280 to full 2k, only 4k is behind a paywall.
And the reupload glitch I'm pretty sure they aren't getting rid of, in fact I seen people posting oversized images last night (though I was out all day so I don't actually know for sure that this was after the change, but pretty sure). Dragoneer seemed to encourage the reupload thing, so again this is just for the initial upload size.
But remember too, they just added $20,000 in additional storage in order for this to be possible, and the funding came entirely from FA+ subscribers. ^^; so everyone does get a benefit, but to give a bit more to those of us who are helping fund the site, I think it's fair. Running a server costs a lot of money, after all!
The size limit was increased for regular users too.
It wasn't perfect as it was, and this isn't either.
See Neer's next-to-most recent journal for more on this: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/10393676, a well as his most recent one.
Looks like no more full res in my gallery.
Try not to worry about the immediate moment of growing pains and have patience that things improve on a site that still stands, nearly 20 years later, where the humans running it are doing their best to be receptive more than ever. Think about positive possibilities.
Resolution will increase in the future, but this is an adjustment period.
Example for what was prior to the update would be and image that's 1280x1720
Edit: folks are already saying that, but I won’t delete. Heh. Carry on.
