Seems like most are happy with the changes. Only issue I’ve heard is that high res image uploads are behind a paywall, but then again it seems pretty common place to put those behind a Patreon anyways.

I'm not happy with the changes. Even paid FA doesn't allow me to upload stuff as high-res as things I've already uploaded. Plus the site doesn't run ultrawide anymore.

i've always respected FA's size limit for historic reasons (the site layout used to be really crappy with hi res images) but honestly, if they're going to charge for anything then charging for "you're using more of our bandwidth with your colossal images" is a sensible choice

actually, for my personal uploading habits this is literally an upgrade! if you compare my newest yoshi upload to other uploads from a week or two ago, it's much larger

Yeah I definitely agree that if anything needed a subscription service, it’s hosting 4K smut.

The page shift to the clicked comment does work for me. Maybe it's a bug for some browsers yet.

The banners are cool. Your banner is very cool.

I'd still like 2FA, a working blacklist, functioning tags, the ability to block adverts when I'm not in the market, the ability to fix the incorrect romaji in my username by changing it, better image support and an actual, functioning block system.

But man those banners ARE pretty nice...

for about 25% of my submissions such as this one i just straight up skipped tagging certain things like "avian" and "rabbit" because i ran out of tag space. i do my best but i can only squeeze so many fetishes and characters in ~20 tags

yeah i'd love user-driven tags, the ability for pics to have more than ~20 tags, multi-image uploads, and some kind of reworking of the "three strikes" system for people like me who upload 5-10 pictures a week

it is much easier to make up features than to sit down and code them

I'm honestly just bad with change haha. I'll admit it needed a bit of a modernization, though, and the few new features they added like personalized banners are pretty neat! As for the 'pay for higher resolution' thing I. Think it's good, but in a roundabout way. When I was starting out, I made drawings at absurd resolutions for no good reasons because I didn't know any better, so I'm hoping this will help young artists from making that same mistake lol. The 'furrification' badge is a pretty blatant ripoff of what tumblr already did, but even typing this sentence is caring too much about that.

Overall, pretty good update! Still felt a distinct revulsion upon seeing the new site, but that's just a me problem.

i stayed on the old FA design for about 2 years! but i finally bit the bullet and switched over, it's fine once i get used to it! i miss having little buttons for the FA-specific emotes though

You give FA $8 and for a month there's a white on blue pawprint next to your username that says "I paid $8 for this" on mouseover.

I'm a silly fox who uses the old school fa theme, but I figure the url for comments on submissions remains the same? If it takes you to the top of the page, does clicking on the url (after the page loaded) and pressing enter take you to the comment in the url?

i used that theme for a very long time! i only stopped about a year ago

yes, the URL takes you to the comment so a workaround I use is to shrink my window before clicking a link, so that only a few comments are visible. (By default I can see about 5-10 comments, so the fact that it is one of the comments onscreen does not really narrow things down)
