Well, I think creating is hard, and it is difficult even for the ones who gain millions of dollars doing it. For example, Star Wars and Toy Story are kinda monotone if you think about it coldly

About being mediocre, think about many pretty popular artists in the fandom, I have seen some of them, even from some time to now a days, their only work are... A commission of a character standing in the same position, it is a good work but it's just repetitive, as if they use the same base in Photoshop... I think that is a little mediocre

I think it is good to critic to yourself but try to not be so hard, and people are strange, in my own experience here, there are work I don't effort so much and give me many likes, and works I plan very much but don't go well

You know, you have an amazing point. I've wanted to open up commissions for a while, but I'm afraid I'll br like everyone else if I do it.. I also generally think my style isn't 'as' good for commissions, but I guess I seem to lack motivation, and enthusiasm for it. I'll be sure to open them up sometime, but not now. Honestly, I get where you're going at with this, and I definitely feel the same. It's like, how does this one person make better shading and detailing than me? You just gotta remember that you have a style, and people like it because it's either simplified, or that it has detail that some prefer over other styles. For example, I love toony styles over more detailed styles anyway, because it's more addicting to look at, and less detail is better for me since I tend to look at a lot of smaller details. It's why I dig your style; because it's simple, and it looks nice to me. Keep improving, and try to focus on the simple things you want to happen. <3

It's just interesting that my brain cuts me down for a style that I criticize myself for -- but everyone else ... well, at least a few people out there actually like this style. I just feel like it's lazy. XD

It really, honestly, comes down to this. This is pretty much the definitive answer to it. A Jerk Brain that is compelled enough would say "Is there too many cakes?" but my brain generally backs off when it gets to this point.

I understand exactly where you are coming from. For me, it is with my writing. I will read someone else's short stories and my jerk brain side will come out in full force saying: "What makes you think you can even attempt to write at their level?" Or, better yet, when I get ready to write: "Why even bother? No one is going to like it?" If I happen to get something written, my inner jerk starts beating me over the head with how terrible everything sounds. It is maddening.

As for your style, I happen to like it a lot and think that you are a fantastic artist. I look forward to seeing whatever you create next.

Thanks, that's appreciated. It's just that ... things like learning some new things and poking at VR development, seeing some of the beautiful scapes that people have made ... and then at my little tinker toys of VR attempt, I have to ask: "Someone already made stuff, why go through the pain?"

Tikke, you have to realize something that separates you from most others. Not only can you create art which most people cannot draw more than a stick figure, myself included, but you have also created an entire universe! You gave life to an entire solar system and have only scratched the surface! You’ve created species! Companies! Militaries! Punishments! Tools! Laws! A people! I know that part of the problem is that you can’t find an effective way to advertise and market your material, but the fact you can even create it? It’s remarkable! There are people who dream about having as much content as you do! You’re talented my friend, and I know you don’t believe that, but you are. I really do hope some day, you’ll realize that for yourself. Sooner rather than later preferably. Either way, I’m here to help remind you when you slip.
