Hello folks, time for another segment of Interesting Bear Facts. This time I will be talking about my luchador OC Martín. As most of you know, I adopted the blue wolf from my good friend NitemareAran as the design was used for an OC of theirs before going in a full retcon direction with their character (click here for the details of the retcon). When Martín started off as Ken, he immediately became a favorite of mine out of Star's list of characters that they made. I would fanboy over him a lot and Star would often tease me about it as Ken was one of Star's bf back when he was a luchador. I even would present commission ideas which were limited at the time knowing the relationship status and knowing that most of my ideas were belly-focused, Star would often want to beat my ass whenever I asked for a "hands-on" commission. Since then, Star went in a whole new direction with Ken where he was no longer a luchador but instead a trucker/mechanic. After seeing that Star did recycle an even older look of Ken, I asked what would become of the luchador design and that topic led to the adoption of Martín.

Since adopting Martín, I've noticed that I've been getting a lot of commissions with the luchador coming up with ideas that I never imagined possible. For example, I've been getting artwork of him where he tends to get fatter as I picture him overeating, especially after a match. I've even gotten commissions where he and Beary are paired up together seeing how I originally wouldn't have gotten commissions like these when he was Ken, shows that there's a lot more freedom when you are now the owner of a character and there are no restrictions with ideas. With all of the commissions that I've gotten, an idea came to me: Beary & Martín becoming a couple. I did talk to Star about it first and they're okay with it. Even though Ken did go through a retcon, the luchador look was originally Ken and I would've felt guilty about going after someone else's ex.

Thinking about it, I can see the two of them becoming a couple. I guess I didn't realize how much I liked the design seeing that I would talk about Ken a lot more than the others. In the beginning, I did like that he showed his muscles and gut in a crop top and that he was a celebrity being a luchador. Now that Martín is owned by me, it's got me thinking a lot more and it is something that I do want to explore more seeing how their relationship would go. Plus it can help me brainstorm Martín, even more, seeing what his personality is like and what kind of boyfriend he would be to Beary. Thanks for reading everyone, I'll see you all next time.
