I'm back for the summer!

Hello everyone!
It has been a long while since I have informed everyone on what is going on with me, my absences, and why I decided to art dump and dip for months at a time.
Many of you know already, but for those who don't, I have been working on my bachelor's degree for the last four years and am approaching my last semester in the fall. These past 8 months have been absolute hell for me as I have been fully taken up by classes. This summer will still be fairly busy for me as I work on the final big year-long project that I have been working on for the last few months as well as my internship. But now I have some spare time to draw here and there, which I am so excited to get back into. This does though come with some rather bad news...
I most likely will not be doing commissions this summer... I know there were quite a few kind people that asked about commissions this summer, but with my workload already taking up so much of my time, I worry taking on a ton of slots will just lead to inconsistent completion dates and possible burnout. I will reaccess the situation later this summer, but for now, I am not planning to open up commissions as of right now. I MAY take one here and there upon request, but I do not plan to open up slots or anything big. That being said, if you have a commission idea that you really want to share with me, it does not hurt to share and if it is something I can do, we may work something out.
I am again going to make a commitment to try and keep dumping art here until we have finally caught up with my Twitter. I deeply apologize for that as it has gotten this out of hand. Every few days, I hope to post about 4-5 pieces so keep an eye out for that. If you want to see all of my art that you may have missed, feel free to check out my Twitter here.
Thank you everyone for your patience these past months and years. School has proven to be a huge commitment and I look forward to the time when I can fully engage with you all and post more freely. I hope everyone has a wonderful start to their summer and I look forward to interacting with you all once again, I have greatly missed it...

Welcome back Maz! I hope your break goes well, and that your big project comes along nicely! Protecting yourself from burnout is very important, and its great that you're prioritizing finishing up college. I'm very glad you're taking art at your own pace. I'd hate for you to feel unnecessary pressure to make or post art while much more important things are going on!

Good to have ya back man. I'll bet it's been hard, but I'm sure you'll get your degree before ya know it. I hope it'll go well for ya. Also, it's totally fine if ya can't draw too much or you can't do comms. As long as you're happy with it.

Heya! What's the college experience been like? I never really had a chance to go. Had to commit to a part time job + freelance as my current career. (as someone who pursued art as a career)
It has its ups and downs. I really have enjoyed the social part of college, like clubs and meeting new people. The discipline also allows (and forces) you to learn stuff even if you feel unmotivated. The big downside is of course the cost and the amount of stress (depending on the college and the program). I do not regret at all going to college and given the chance and money, I would do it all over again. If you ever get to a part of your life where you see a window that you can do it, I would recommend it. Wishing you the best with freelancing and work!!!

always had a dream to do art school, but it's just financially not very viable, neither is the industry at large. I do really enjoy the freelance work though, so I'm fairly satisfied.
