Josh Quagmire has passed away.
Just found this out.
The name may not mean anything to younger furries, but Josh was the first artist I ever discovered in the early 80s... years before furry fandom was born.
His best known creation was Cutie Bunny.
He was the first artist to give me advice in how to draw.
"Learn to draw what you see, not what you assume".
"Learn to be a good observer."
I still remember this advice, and still value it.
Dammit....
I was going to try to make contact with him again.
But he could be grumpy, and he could be hard to talk to.
And so I kept putting it off, figuring theres always tomorrow.
And now its too late.

Rest in peace, Mr. Quagmire.
Rest in peace, Takaza J. Wolf.
To all reading this: please, resist the urge to go "there's always tomorrow" when thinking about contacting an old friend. No matter how good their health is or how busy or unreachable they may feel. Give them the opportunity to decide that for themselves while they can.
One of the harshest things about being mortal.
Especially at our age.
That's even more evident now.
Take care of yourself dude. We're losing too many of the old guard too quick.
But I am slow to learn sometimes.
My own health has been shaky and unstable this year.
Too much bad shit, happening too quickly.

We do our best but sometimes (most of the time)(ALL of the time!!) RL just kicks us in the ass and there's nothing we can do.
Darnit.
